Ayutthaya is a less than 2 hour bus ride from Bangkok and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Best of all, it only takes a couple of hours to experience the richness of ancient Thailand. There are enough temples to go around in this city. Some of the most popular ones are: • Wat Ratchaburana (pictured) • Wat Mahathat (directly across the road from Ratchaburana) • Wat Thammikarat • Wat Yai Chai Mongkol Just to name a few… Cost: Each temple costs 50 baht for foreigners, and 20 baht for Thai citizens Travel tip: Dress modestly for the temples or you may be denied entry. Getting There - Take either a train from the Bangkok station station or a bus from Mochit New Van Terminal.
