［Iceland］Ice Age

Since ancient times, Icelanders have been horse lovers and have ridden horses for transportation, so Icelandic horses were once the most important means of transportation. As time goes by, the Icelandic horse has become the companion of Icelanders. Icelandic horses are different from other breeds of horses. They are small in size, stable in temperament, and can be handled by novices. In addition to the normal running/walking of horses, the unique Tolt (steady trot) and Flying pace (galloping) make riding like sitting on a suspended seat. This is my first time to experience horse riding in Iceland. It was a unique experience to see Iceland in a different way, and it made me not want to leave. Before starting, the coach at the stable will first ask everyone whether they have horse riding experience, then match me with a suitable horse according to my height, and then teach me how to control the horse and adjust the stirrups for each person. The coach will follow the group from the front and the back, and the horses will automatically follow the lead horse. Not long after walking, my eyes will light up and I will see the mountains covered with ice and snow, turning them pale. There are only white snow-capped mountains around. The scene is spectacular. This is an unprecedented experience. Leaving the bustling world, there is only the tranquility of nature, accompanied by the sound of horse hooves, allowing me to enjoy the sounds of nature, explore the secret scenery and live, which makes me feel that Iceland brings another feeling. #2024TravelReview
