Sapporo Travel Guide: One Day, One Attraction!

Hi, friends! I just finished my trip to Sapporo, and it was amazing! Although I was in a rush and could only stay in each place for one day, Sapporo is a city of snow and beauty. Every step I took felt like I was walking in a beautiful painting. I took a flight from Tokyo Haneda T1, departing at 7:30 am and arriving at New Chitose Airport in Sapporo at 9:00 am. I recommend taking the JR train from the airport to the city center. It only takes 40 minutes to get to Sapporo Station. Then, I took the train to Nishi-Juitchome Station, which is close to my hotel. I walked to the hotel after getting off the train. After arriving, I walked out of Exit 1 of Nishi-Juitchome Station and headed to the hotel. The hotel is at the end of Odori Park. After dropping off my luggage, I took a walk around the hotel. The snow-covered streets were so atmospheric, quiet, and beautiful, making me feel relaxed. Then, I went to the Sapporo Beer Museum, where I learned about the history and culture of beer brewing and tasted delicious Genghis Khan grilled lamb. The lamb was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich aroma. It was so satisfying. After that, I went to Odori Park and Sapporo TV Tower. Odori Park is perfect for a stroll and enjoying the snow scenery. Sapporo TV Tower stands tall and looks even more eye-catching against the snow. The view from the top is spectacular. I also visited the Hokkaido Government Office. Its architectural style is unique and carries the rich history and culture of Hokkaido. It's worth taking a closer look. I went to Maruyama Park and Hokkaido Shrine early on the second day before leaving Sapporo. I left at 8:30 am and finished my visit by 11:00 am. Maruyama Park was covered in snow, like a dreamy winter wonderland. Hokkaido Shrine looked even more ancient and solemn against the snow. Being there felt like a spiritual cleansing. A reminder: it gets dark early in Sapporo, around 4:00 pm, and the sun rises around 7:00 am. So, plan your itinerary accordingly. As for food, ramen and sushi are must-tries. You can't go wrong with popular restaurants. Choose accommodation in a convenient location for easy travel. Even if you're on a tight schedule, you can still experience the best of Sapporo with my guide. I'm sure you'll fall in love with it too. Go and experience it for yourself! 💕
