There aren't many exhibits, but there are many interesting ones, and if the young man isn't busy,

I came to Sendai on another matter.
I didn't know about the Sendai Tanabata Festival until the day before
I had some time before my business, so I took a walk.
it was difficult to walk because of the decorations, but (to prevent infectious diseases?) It was lifted up moderately and it became easier to walk.
A relaxed enka song will make your heart happy. The night was bright and relaxing.

Five-day tour of Northeast Japan | Don't waste a single minute of your JR PASS① ||| It was a spur-of-the-moment decision to go to Northeast Japan with friends.
The first thing to do is to buy the JR PASS Tohoku 5-day ticket (except for foreign tourists, foreign residents in Japan can buy it with just their passport).
For each trip on the Shinkansen, you can use this coupon to exchange for a designated seat at the machine or window. Unlimited exchanges (should be). We exchanged for a train in advance but missed it, so we directly exchanged for the next train at the machine without any problem.
This step is worth noting: please please keep this JR PASS safe, because once it is lost, there is no way to retrieve it except to buy a new one. (My friend lost it on the second day and had to buy a new one, which was very sad.)
Next, let me share our five-day-four-night itinerary:
❄️DAY1: Tokyo → Sendai → Morioka
First, I went to the Northeast to check out the statue of Lu Xun, and next to the statue was the Lu Xun Museum, where they had his report card from back then, haha! After leaving the university, I searched for a highly rated restaurant nearby and had a lunch of beef tongue prepared in two ways, grilled and stewed, for just over 1,000 yen, which was very satisfying. Then I took a bus to the area near the Da Guan Yin temple, where you can actually go inside and see over 100 small Buddha statues. After that, I had a sweet soybean dessert near Sendai Station and ordered a soybean milkshake to take on the Shinkansen. In the evening, I chose to stay in Morioka, where the hotels near the station were very cheap and they even gave me a 2,000 yen voucher. I went to a restaurant that served Morioka cold noodles and ordered a set meal of cold noodles and grilled meat, which just happened to use up the voucher.
❄️DAY2 Morioka → Hachinohe → Aomoriya
Actually, I wanted to go to the Tenshotei Art Museum that day, but I overslept and didn't have time, so I could only leave regrets. I went straight to the Hachinohe Shokudo Center seafood market when I arrived in Hachinohe. There is a special bus for 100 yen at the bus stop, which takes about ten minutes. Then you can buy seafood in the market and rent a grill to cook and eat by yourself. The rental fee for the grill is 400 yen per person, and it comes with basic soy sauce and salt. Eat on time and take the bus back to Hachinohe Station (remember to plan the time to stay in the market, as the bus runs once an hour). I booked the Aomoriya hotel, which has its own courtyard. It's beautiful when it snows, and there is a sleep demon lamp. You can take a half-hour walk around and come back to the starting point, where there is a footbath to soak in. Back at the hotel, you can continue to soak in the hot spring and drink apple juice. I made an appointment in advance for the Sleep Demon Festival performance, which costs 1500 yen per person.
❄️DAY3 Aomoriya → Aomori → Akita
Take a bus from Aomori Station to Aomori Prefectural Museum of Art. Although we only had a brief visit due to time constraints, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and many cute details of this museum. When we returned to the station to take the Gonō Line, we found out that the starting section was suspended due to heavy snow. A bit confused, we asked the station staff who told us to take another bus to a certain station and then catch the Gonō Line from there. We had reserved a private compartment on the Gonō Line in advance, and although the weather was bad that day, there was a unique beauty to it. We slowly enjoyed the sea view all the way to Akita. We had planned to eat the famous Akita dish "Kiritanpo Nabe", but because I was lazy and didn't make a reservation, we couldn't eat at the designated restaurant.
Enjoy Japanese Sake in Kyoto
Not the usual stop by if you have the time, you can stop by this area to learn how Sake is being made and enjoy sake tasting too! A relaxing town to walk around.

(I've seen Instagram but forgot ...)
▼ Ice cafe latte
Separately served milk and espresso
I pour the espresso myself, so
It's nice to see the beautiful gradation when mixed with milk.
Also, the shape of the ice is round and it is characteristic that it is made of coffee.
I'm glad that the ice doesn't fade even if it melts
▼ Food
Food (sweets) cookies, muffins, scones, rings (doughnuts?)
All are gluten free
Among them, this time scones
It was salty, so it looked better to fill my stomach than a snack.
I also do pasta so it's good to come for lunch!
(I don't know if the pasta is gluten-free, so ask directly)

Maybe because the inside of the store will switch to bar time from 18:00
A calm adult atmosphere based on gray
For some reason there is a waterfall on the left side of the entrance
It's comfortable to hear the sound of water
The maximum number of seats is about 10 (3 counters, 2-4 sofa seats and 2-3 seats), so
I think there is a high possibility of waiting if two or more people go
At bar time, it seems that the table on the sofa seat (7th seat in the photo) is lit, so
You can enjoy a more mature atmosphere
By the way, pets are allowed
I think it's easy to use for those who come to Yoyogi Park for a pet walk.

At first, it was attracted to the furniture on the tall, with the atmosphere of the IKEA home, and the design sense of stability, people want to explore this furniture very much. world.
Later, I found out that this hand-customized furniture store originating from Hokkaido has a history of 50 years. All the furniture in the store comes from the beautiful forests of Hokkaido. CONDE HOUSE carefully selects high-grade wood and uses the most advanced technology to create the highest quality hand-made. It's no wonder that every piece of furniture that comes in every piece makes people feel crafted.
In the founding period, we adhered to the design concept of harmony and beauty, which perfectly blends the soft shape and delicate and practical functions, fully embodies the harmony of the furniture industry, and wanders around the circle. The wood is placed in a windy vase, and even the lights are full of Japanese style, which is very artistic.

The equestrian statue of Date Masamune at the Sendai Castle ruins is an iconic tourist spot in Sendai. The statue of Masamune, gallantly mounted on his horse, stands with the cityscape of Sendai in the background, exuding a commanding presence that evokes the weight of history. Discover the Heart of Tohoku’s Scenic Beauty and Culture

Miyagi Prefecture offers a unique blend of natural beauty, history, and vibrant culture, making it an exciting destination in Japan's Tohoku region. Its capital, Sendai, known as the "City of Trees," balances modern city life with a deep sense of history, thanks to landmarks like the Zuihoden Mausoleum and Sendai Castle, linked to the famed samurai Date Masamune.
What makes Miyagi truly special for me is its striking natural scenery. Matsushima Bay, with its picturesque islands and tranquil waters, is one of Japan’s Three Great Views, offering a peaceful escape from the bustle of urban life. The prefecture is also rich in hot springs, rugged coastlines, and mountains, giving outdoor enthusiasts plenty to explore.
Miyagi’s resilience following the 2011 earthquake and tsunami has also deepened my appreciation for the spirit of its people, who have rebuilt with strength and optimism. Visiting Miyagi is both a visually rewarding experience and a chance to engage with Japan's history and enduring culture.
A Trip to Sendai
Ruins of Sendai Castle's Main Compound
The ruins of the main compound of Sendai Castle are a wonderful place to feel the history of Sendai. From the spacious grounds, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Sendai City and the Pacific Ocean, making it worth a visit. Although the castle itself no longer stands, a bronze statue of Lord Date Masamune stands proudly, evoking a sense of history. In the quiet and serene atmosphere, you can reflect on the grandeur of the former Sendai Castle. There is also a museum on the grounds where you can learn more about the history of Sendai, which adds to its appeal.
The Aoba Shrine 青葉神社
A very old shrine but well maintained. Visited this place during weekdays so it was nice and quiet. It's about a 10 minute walk from Kita Sendai Station. It is located in the Kitayama area of Sendai. The large white stone torii gate was rebuilt in 2014, after the previous one collapsed in the Great East Japan Earthquake. After passing through the torii gate, there is a long staircase. Visit the shrine with gratitude. I received a simple handwritten stamp.
The Sakuragaoka Shrine
Tsutsugaoka Hachimangu Shrine is surrounded by apartment buildings.
As you pass through the torii gate and head towards the water fountain, you will see a wooden carving in the middle depicting a nightingale, a bird associated with Tenjin. In addition to haiku monuments, poem monuments, and fude mounds, there is also a shrine within the precincts, and a petting cow associated with the deity Sugawara no Michizane is enshrined in the spacious, well-maintained grounds.
Sendai Mediatheque せんだいメディアテーク
An interesting building with plenty of spaces and interesting art display to discover too. We walked around and had fun and there sat at the first floor cafe for a coffee and dessert. Though we did not see the night lightings etc or do anything adventurous we had fun and enjoyed the afternoon in the building. The display on the building after earthquake were interesting and informative. The other levels where there were art exhibits and photos were great too!
The Nakamoto Seishi Contemporary Art Museum
This museum is the hidden gem of Sendai. The location, right in the middle of residential area, might be a little hard to reach via public transport, but it's well worth your time. Aside from exhibitions, they also have live concerts (classical music, folk music) from time to time. Special mention for the architecture. So artful and magical. I feel like visiting a building designed by Antonio Gaudi himself.
Tsutsujigaoka Tenmangu Shrine 榴岡天満宮
One of many Tenmangu shrines across Japan. This one was relocated here by the 4th lord of the Date Clan, Date Tsunamura, in 1667. People come to pray to the enshrined deity Sugawara Michizane for success in academics and politics. The Chinese-style gate is a city registered cultural asset and a stone monument records a poem by famous haiku poet Matsuo Basho, commemorating his “Narrow Road to the Deep North.”
The Sendai Toshogu Shrine 仙台東照宮
Beautiful little shrine in a quiet grove. Worth a visit if you have a little extra time. Parking available at the site or a leisurely 40 minute walk from Sendai station. A large shrine near Toshogu station (1 stop from Sendai station). You can enjoy quiet atmosphere and good scenery of wooden in heart of town. The stairs are not too high and easy for walking even for eldery. The shrine staffs (miko) are very kind. Please note that Toshogu station is small and has only one platform.
Sendai Anpanman Children's Museum & Mall
There are two parts of this buildings, the Anpanman museum and the Anpanman shops. The museum is quite expensive and more suitable for children because there are several toys and attractions. The shops sell many Anpanman souvenirs, books, even bread. There is no need to pay the entrance fee for the Anpanman shops. Very fun place to bring your kids! Free performances, multiple play areas and interactive set peices. This place is very well thought up and designed! There are always 2 restaraunts. Be aware, that the prices for admission, food and gift shops are very pricey
