We flew from Tianjin to Incheon Airport. If you are coming from China, make sure to buy a SIM card or get one at the airport, otherwise you won't be able to get around Seoul. We got a SIM card at the airport and stayed in Myeongdong. We took the train from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station, then took Subway Line 4 for two stops to Myeongdong. We used Google Maps for navigation, which was very convenient. Make sure to check the subway exit carefully. We booked a room for CNY 324 per night, which was quite warm. In the evening, we went out and had marinated crab for the first time, which was 40,000 won, and a bottle of sake for 6,000 won, 50 meters from the hotel. In the morning, we took the subway to the Blue House and Gyeongbokgung Palace. I went to Gyeongbokgung Palace in 2009, and it was not as good as the Forbidden City in China. So we just walked around. Then we took a free shuttle bus from Seoul National University near Seoul Plaza to Seoul National University. You can also take bus 5511/5513 from the roadside, which both end at Seoul National University. When taking a bus in Seoul, you need to check the bus stop sign and line up at the roadside, swipe your bus card when you get on, and swipe it again when you get off so the driver knows you want to get off. You can buy and top up a bus card at a 7/11 convenience store. You can only buy a single-ride card at the subway station, and you have to return the deposit, which is very troublesome. After visiting Seoul National University, we took the bus and subway to Bukchon Hanok Village.
