Mandarin Oriental! A well-deserved five-star hotel!

I wanted to try the Pudong Mandarin Oriental, which has received many negative reviews, for a long time. As one of the five Mandarin Orientals in mainland China, many people think that this one in Pudong is the worst. After trying it out for myself, I hope this post can give everyone a relatively objective evaluation. To get straight to the point, the location is good, located on the south bank of the Huangpu River, not far from the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Pudong Art Museum. There is a ferry nearby where you can take a boat to the North Bund. In fact, the Mandarin Oriental is not on the street. It, the Mandarin Oriental Executive Apartments, and the Huangpu River Minghui are all enclosed in a semi-enclosed space. Vehicles need to go up a small slope to reach the MO plaque, and then drive on the internal road, so at least the privacy of the hotel entrance is very good. The doorman opened the door and carried the luggage when I got out of the car. Because there were many people at check-in, I was taken directly to the single front desk on the second floor for check-in, and at the same time promised that the luggage would be delivered to the room later. I stayed in a Mandarin River View Room this time, which is about 60-65 square meters. The room is great. From the layout to the view to the hardware, it is basically the consistently high standard of MO. Almost all the arrangements are very reasonable and considerate. The space is used efficiently and it definitely does not make people feel cramped. I personally appreciate the design of the bathtub. The round design gives people a very comfortable and free feeling. From now on, I can't stand the small bathtubs in Marriott hotels (just kidding). The bedding is perfect, it has the familiar MO feel. The toiletries provided are a full set of Ormonde Jayne, which smell okay. In terms of hardware, the hotel has been open for more than ten years, and it is inevitable that the furniture will be old. But having said that, among the many hotels of this age, the overall maintenance of Pudong MO is quite good
