Wang Yuping | What an interesting old man

I've been in Shanghai for many years, but this is my first time at the Powerlong Museum First, it's not a popular place, and I rarely see much publicity Second, it's far away and the surrounding area is boring But fortunately, the exhibition space is spacious and clean, like a free world of artistic blank space And this time, the "Wang Yuping 2024 Exhibition" is being held here When I first met Wang Yuping, I only knew that he taught in the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts But when I saw his work, it was so vivid and free, without any pretense All of it comes from the heart, giving ordinary things some interest The colors are wantonly diffused in the painting, bold and pure, free and unrestrained When I look at the painting, I seem to see him leisurely painting like a cloud crane The brushstrokes and colors in the painting seem to be a deformed world in Kafka's writing, distorted and yet so real Everyday objects are given a strange soul on the canvas, they break free from the shackles of reality and exist in an absurd posture At the same time, there are three exhibitions at Powerlong 1️⃣ "Wang Yuping Solo Exhibition" Date: November 6, 2024–January 5, 2025 Location: Halls 4 & 5 2️⃣ Ni Youyu Solo Exhibition "Handscroll" Date: November 2, 2024–February 23, 2025 Location: Halls 1 & 3 I love this one too!
