Shanghai Gongqing Forest Park || Stumble into Monet's Garden

Gongqing Forest Park, a frequent destination for old Shanghai residents, has recently gained popularity due to its Monet Garden. Although the chrysanthemum exhibition has ended, it's still worth a visit. The park is huge, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Opening hours: 5am to 6pm, free admission. My route was from the west gate to the east gate. The west gate is close to Monet Garden (Camphor Square), just a short walk away. It's best to arrive early on weekends, as it gets crowded around 9am. Some areas are under renovation, but that doesn't stop people from enjoying the fresh air and freedom. Families camping in tents can be seen everywhere. Camphor Square: This is where the famous Monet Garden is located. Although not large, the flowers and pond create a magical atmosphere, like a fairy's overturned palette, transporting you into a painting. Water Forest Wetland: A beautiful scene with trees, water, and benches. Surrounded by forest, the breeze ripples the water's surface, accompanied by the crisp chirping of birds, bringing a sense of tranquility. Birdwatching Corridor: Many photography enthusiasts set up their equipment early, and you can actually see birds. When I went, there were beautiful kingfishers catching fish.
