Haba Snow Mountain Travel Guide

Stay positive and optimistic. 【Transportation】 • Getting to Haba Village: From Lijiang, take a bus or charter a car to Haba Village, which takes about 3 hours. • Transportation in the village: Horses are available for rent in Haba Village. You can choose to ride a horse to the base camp to save energy. 【Itinerary】 • Day 1: Lijiang - Haba Village • Depart from Lijiang in the morning and head to Haba Village. • Upon arrival in Haba Village, check in and take a short break. • You can stroll around the village to learn about the local customs and enjoy the beautiful snow-capped mountains. • Day 2: Haba Village - Base Camp • Depart at around 9:30 am and hike to the base camp. • Enjoy the beautiful natural scenery along the way, such as alpine meadows and forests. • Arrive at the base camp after about 4 hours. After a short break, you can continue to the small meadow for more beautiful scenery. • Spend the night at the base camp and keep warm. • Day 3: Summit - Return to Haba Village • Get up at 2 am, have a simple breakfast, and start climbing to the summit. • Pay attention to safety along the way, especially on the glacier section and the Despair Slope, and follow the guide's instructions. • Enjoy the magnificent sunrise over the snow-capped mountains after reaching the summit, and then start descending. • Protect your knees on the way down.
