Shirakawa-go

#japantrip If you like looking into Japan's past this is a great place to visit. I went in winter and loved the cool fresh air and the picturesque scenery. The old style buildings were well preserved and it was interesting to go through one of the main buildings. There were a lot of tourists which is to be expected. There are coin lockers available, but they fill quickly. However there is also a storage facility. Be prepared with cash. All in all I enjoyed my time here. I'd love to come back at another time of year to see the scenery change.
