Reunion Dinner at Ship Village: Seafood, Scenic Views, and Celebration

#newyearnewtrip #travelanywhere A Lunar New Year Feast by the Sea at Ship Village Seafood Restaurant, Batu Pahat On the first day of the Lunar New Year, we gathered for a reunion dinner at Ship Village Seafood Restaurant in Batu Pahat, a place known for its fresh seafood and tranquil seaside dining. The restaurant's spacious and comfortable setting made it an ideal spot for a family celebration, offering a sense of warmth and togetherness that perfectly complemented the festive occasion. Although we arrived too late to catch the sunset, the night views made up for it, with the sea stretching endlessly into the darkness, illuminated by distant lights reflecting on the water. The cool sea breeze carried the lively chatter and laughter of families enjoying their own celebrations, adding to the vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere of the night. Our feast was a spread of classic zichar delights, starting with a golden clams omelette, rich and slightly crisp at the edges. The Cantonese-style steamed grouper arrived next, its delicate flesh infused with the light, fragrant soy-based sauce. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the salted egg crab, generously coated in a creamy, savory sauce that made every bite indulgent. To balance it all, a simple yet flavorful stir-fried cauliflower medley completed the meal, bringing a refreshing contrast to the richness of the seafood. Just a short walk away from the restaurant, a long boardwalk stretched out towards the sea, offering a quiet escape from the festive buzz. After dinner, we wandered down the path, taking in the salty breeze and the soothing sound of waves gently lapping against the shore. The peaceful, open expanse of the sea under the night sky made for a perfect way to unwind, a moment of reflection and serenity amid the joy of the new year celebrations. It was more than just a meal—it was an experience of togetherness, good food, and the quiet beauty of the sea, marking the beginning of the new year in the most memorable way. #travel #familytravel #myitinerary
