The Pretty Good Muffin Experience, Literally

#favouriteitinerary For those in search of an affordable yet indulgent treat, Pretty Good Muffins at Hong Lim Complex is a true hidden gem. Offering an array of freshly baked muffins starting at just $1.20, this quaint bakery presents a delightful escape for pastry lovers. To experience their offerings at their peak, visit around 11 am when the muffins are freshly pulled from the oven, warm and soft to the touch. Though they open at 9 am, certain flavors may not be available immediately, so timing is key. The standout here is the Matcha Strawberry Muffin. The rich, homemade strawberry jam center complements the dense, slightly crumbly muffin perfectly, creating a harmonious balance of flavors. While the matcha itself is somewhat understated, the strawberry’s sweetness takes center stage, though a more pronounced matcha bitterness would elevate the experience further. For those with a more adventurous palate, Pretty Good Muffins also boasts an enticing selection of other flavors, including Nutella Sea Salt, Pistachio, Apple Raisin, and Kaya. On our next visit, we plan to indulge in a box of six, ensuring we experience the full spectrum of their offerings, especially when the entire collection is displayed in its full glory. In addition to their signature muffins, they also offer decadent Swiss rolls in flavors such as Matcha, Houjicha, Strawberry, and Blueberry—an irresistible alternative for those craving something a bit different. Their drink menu is equally impressive, featuring matcha lattes, Niko Neko Matcha, Houjicha lattes, and refreshing Yuzu Honey drinks, perfect for pairing with any treat. Nestled on the second floor of the complex, Pretty Good Muffins occupies a quiet, unassuming corner that exudes charm. The space is minimalist and serene, with only two counter booths available for seating, though most patrons opt to take their pastries to go. This humble yet inviting spot is slowly but surely becoming our go-to haven for a sweet, satisfying muffin fix. #singaporetrip #thingstodo #myitinerary #localfood #afternoonteatime #citydaytours

See this food restaurant at one of the social media, decide to visit for the delicious food Cantonese Delights is at Hong Lim food court, a four minutes walk from Chinatown station purple line. Hong lim complex got a numbers of marvelous food to visit. Cantonese Delights is at unit number #02-03, open from 1000-1430, Saturday and Sunday closed. I had order number of foods from this stall, curry chicken cullet noodle, laska yong tau foo, wanton soup, dumplings soup, cha siew and chicken feet. Chicken cullet taste good, yellow noodle is a better combination with curry, but i choose mee kia. Chicken feet cook well, soft and tender. Laska yong tau foo soup taste good, especially must order the pig skin roll.
