They have 10 outlets across the island and more is in the plan, according to their website. The shop was almost filled and you can see it attracts both older customers for the traditional Chinese desserts and the younger ones for the chilled/iced desserts. We ordered the mango sticky rice with black glutinous rice and taro paste. And the more traditional one of almond paste with glutinous rice. The mango version is just average in my opinion. They tried to include too much variety into a single dessert. Value for money perhaps but just too much texture. The traditional almond paste is really good. Very smooth with the right consistency without feeling the “sandy” after taste. Very fragrant and not too sweet. Looking forward to try their other traditional paste dessert like sesame paste and walnut paste which is known to be good for our general wellness. #musteat #dessert #payalebar #cafe
