Get in touch with nature at Baluran National Park

Would have totally missed out on this gem in East Java if not for the closure of Mount Ijen. It’s still a place often overlooked by tourists thus it’s not very crowded. So do check it out! Commonly referred to as “Little Africa” this place is true to its name! Here you can see animals in their most natural state, travelling in packs and living their life as if tourists does not exist. If you want to see animals up close, do come early as they tend to move into the shades further away from the main road as it gets hot. As you drive further down, there’s a beach with many monkey families living in the nearby trees. Most of them does not attack as long as you don’t have food or go near them.
