Deosai Plains, Deosai National Park

Deoasai plain is one of the highest plateaus in the world and a National park in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan. The average elevation of the deosai plains is about 4114 meters above sea level. It’s considered to be the second highest plateau in the world. Deosai plains are famous for endangered wild animal species like brown bear and marmots which can be seen easily alongside the road. This place is an amazing destination for outdoor adventures trekking and hiking, one must see it once in a lifetime. To enjoy this beautiful destination best time to visit is June to September. It takes about 1to 2 hours’ drive from Skardu town to reach this beautiful destination. Any type of transport can be used to reach there but the recommended transport is 4×4 jeep as the road over deosai plains is rough and unpaved. #summervacation#hikingtrails
