Self-driving in Sichuan (28): Longping Viewing Platform Distant View

At 10:40 AM on July 7, 2024, we arrived at the Longping Viewing Platform. Along the way, I was measuring the altitude with my phone. The altitude of the hotel we stayed at in Chuanzhusi was 2981 meters, the altitude of Parking Lot No. 2 in the Huanglong Scenic Area was 3141 meters, and the altitude of the Longping Viewing Platform was 3495 meters. From the Longping Viewing Platform, you can see snow-capped mountains, forests, and the Zhenyan Pool in the scenic area. Everyone was eagerly taking photos here. Mengmeng had no interest at all and just sat on the steps playing with her phone. When it was time to leave, she didn't want to go and kept asking how much farther we had to walk. She really didn't want to walk anymore, so Yuanyuan carried her. With a weight of over 70 pounds on Yuanyuan's body, she could only walk 40-50 meters each time before putting her down to walk on her own. We were walking too slowly, so we had to let the others go ahead. At 12:40 PM, the three of us finally reached the small shop near the bottom of the Five-Color Pool. Because we didn't eat well the day before and due to altitude sickness, Mengmeng was vomiting and had diarrhea. Yuanyuan took her to get treated. Afterward, she bought her some ham to eat. I didn't want to eat ham, so I had a Taigu cake for lunch. I told Yuanyuan that I would watch the child and let her go see the Five-Color Pool. She didn't stay long and came back, still worried about the child. Since we weren't going to see the Five-Color Pool, we decided to head down the mountain first.
