Once again, I come to Songyang! This is my fifth visit to Songyang in the past two years. Participating in the 'Life's First Pilgrimage in Songyang' event, this last secret place in the south of the Yangtze River has brought me surprises. After walking through this off-the-beaten-path hiking route in the Songyang bamboo forest, I realized that ancient residences could be enjoyed in such a way. Below, I have summarized a Songyang light bamboo forest hiking route for everyone. It's recommended to save and take note! Hiking route: Hengkeng Village—Songyang Old Street Must-visit spots on the route: 1 Bamboo Forest Theater Designed by artists, this circular art made of bamboo looks especially good when photographed with a wide-angle lens! 2 Songyang Old Street With over two hundred years of history, the old street has well-preserved Ming and Qing architecture. The stone-paved roads and white-walled grey-tiled houses are refreshing to the soul, and there are also many Songyang delicacies. Transportation: It is recommended to drive yourself in Songyang, as the villages are some distance apart and it's hard to hail a taxi. Visitors from other places can rent a car locally in Songyang County. Accommodation: This time we stayed at the 'Yuan She Lan Shu' guesthouse, which is located in the mountains behind Langshu Village. Each room has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the mountains. What surprised me the most is that it was transformed from an entire village, very large, with many rooms and well-equipped facilities, including a gym and an infinity pool. The guesthouse itself is a great place to tour and take photos. Spending a whole day touring and taking photos in the guesthouse is absolutely possible! We also stayed at 'Shan Ye Yun Ye' near Chenjiapu. The guesthouse is situated at the highest point of the village, overlooking the entire village, watching the clouds rise and fall between the mountains. The feeling of watching the sea of clouds while sitting on the bed is really amazing. Delicacies: 1 Wang Jing Zhuangyuan Cake There are two types of crusts, tea-flavored and original flavor, with a crispy exterior and a meaty aroma inside, very delicious and the auntie is also very enthusiastic. 2 Salt-baked Chicken A Songyang specialty, the salty fragrance can be smelled from afar, and the chicken is also very tender and fragrant.
