Chongyuan Temple: The blooming lotus on Yangcheng Lake🪷

Chongyuan Temple is located at No. 333 Yangcheng Ring Road, Suzhou. It was originally named Chongxuan Temple and was built in the second year of the Tianjian period of Emperor Wu of Liang (503 AD). The temple is contemporaneous with Hanshan Temple, Lingyan Temple, and Baosheng Temple, with a history of more than 1,500 years. Chongyuan Temple consists of the Water Guanyin Pavilion, the Mahavira Hall, and the Guanyin statues. Visiting Chongyuan Temple on a summer morning, you can: 1. Burn incense and pray. Step into the incense-filled temple, burn incense and pray, and immerse your soul; 2. Admire the lotus and take photos. In midsummer, the lotus blooms, and the temple in the center of the lotus pond is surrounded by green leaves and red flowers. The Water Guanyin Pavilion echoes the main temple, and the 33-meter-high Guanyin statue inside the pavilion is the tallest indoor Guanyin statue in China, highlighting the solemn appearance of the lotus Buddha kingdom. 3. Taste vegetarian food. The vegetarian food at Chongyuan Temple is famous far and wide. The simple Fushou noodles are served with abundant side dishes, light and refreshing, leaving an unforgettable taste; 4. Relax and enjoy. In the center of the lotus pond, there is a sunken Fuka Cafe.
