Chongyuan Temple was first built in the second year of the Tianjian period of Emperor Wu of the Liang Dynasty during the Southern and Northern Dynasties (503 AD), only one year apart from the construction of Hanshan Temple, and has a history of 1504 years. In history, Chongyuan Temple was a Buddhist place of Zen Buddhism, and the incense was very prosperous. The rebuilt Chongyuan Temple is located in the beautiful Yangcheng Lake Peninsula.
