Must-see historical sites in Tainan

#Taiwan City Attractions Chihkan Tower is the most important historic building in the west central district of Tainan. It is one of the two most popular attractions in Tainan along with Anping Fort in Anping. Chihkan Tower was first built in 1653 by the Dutch who occupied southern Taiwan. It was originally called "Provintia" (Provintia means eternity in Dutch), facing Anping's "Fort Zeelandia". The Han people called it "Chihkan Tower", "Fanzi Tower" or "Red Hair Tower".
