Tainan Attractions｜Historic Site Anping Fort

Built in 1624, Anping Fort is one of the must-see attractions in Anping District, Tainan. It is one of the earliest fortress buildings in Taiwan and played an important role during the Dutch and Zheng rule periods. Due to years of destruction and reconstruction, the only authentic remains from the Dutch period are the brick walls of the outer city's southern wall in front of the castle.
