Taoyuan in northern Taiwan is located next to Taipei. It only takes half an hour to drive to the outskirts of the metropolitan area of ​​Greater Taipei, and you can see the grasslands and mountains. The grasslands are quite beautiful. The first trip to the north in 2024 was for business 😉 and one of the few people who went to Taoyuan instead of taking a flight✈️ because the international airport happened to be in Taoyuan, most people just passed by and didn’t stay 😀 We arrived at the famous Shimen Reservoir Scenic Area in the suburbs of Taoyuan, but we did not walk to the reservoir but to the water resources bureau, a public unit. There is a famous Linpi Ancient Trail (you can walk all the way to the Shimen Reservoir), and there is a large grassland in front of it. It is a favorite place for many children to have picnics and run on holidays. However, it was already late after work, so we could only walk a little. We occasionally encountered the sunset that we don’t see in the east. It was very beautiful. In January, when the temperature was more than ten degrees, the trees were mostly red and yellow. Life was really peaceful and quiet, which was very good. It happened to be a weekday, so there were only people working and no tourists. The temperature difference is a bit big.
