Qiongkushitai Village is a village under the jurisdiction of Kaladala Town, Tekes County, Xinjiang. It is located on the river valley terrace on the south side of Tekes County, with an altitude of about 1970 meters, within the scope of the Kanas 5A tourist scenic spot, a world natural heritage site. Qiongkushitai Village retains the original nomadic lifestyle of Kazakh herdsmen and has won the titles of National Historical and Cultural Village in 2010, Traditional Chinese Village in 2014, Chinese Ethnic Minority Characteristic Village in 2017, and Autonomous Region Civilized Village in 2019. The villagers are mainly Kazakhs. As of 2021, the total population is 1737, accounting for 99% of the total village population, and other ethnic groups account for 1%. The economy is mainly based on animal husbandry, with an annual total output value of about RMB 1.205 million and a per capita net income of RMB 3,980. Qiongkushitai Village has rich tourism resources, including the following attractions: - Kuerdai River: The valley is wide and the water flows all year round, which is the source of life for Qiongkushitai Village. - Kazakh traditional wooden houses: Almost all the houses in the village are wooden buildings. Some houses are built with whole logs, and some houses are built by splitting the logs in half and stacking them up through various processes such as digging, tenoning, and arching, which have strong ethnic characteristics. - Wusun Ancient Road: It is an important channel of the ancient Silk Road and one of the famous hiking routes in Xinjiang, starting from Qiongkushitai Village. - Back Mountain: The scenery is beautiful, with grasslands, forests, snow-capped mountains and other landscapes, which is a tourist attraction in Qiongkushitai Village.
