Kayaba Coffee

#japantrip My all time favorite, charming, two-story, retro-japanese cafe in Tokyo. The tatami mats upstairs set for a cozy experience. The staff accommodates both the Japanese and English languages, providing a menu for the two. They provide a self-serve water station. This renovated early-1900 house has an atmosphere that swipes you away from modern reality. The design is simple, traditional, and well maintained. The coffee and food? Delicious and well presented. There was a fair amount of available seating, so I highly recommend coming around earlier if you want to sit upstairs with the tatami mats.
