Tonglu to Malingshan Ancient Trail

Tonglu, a pleasant place~ Between the spring creeks and paths here, one can find the real-life scenery of the Fuchun Mountain Residence. Malingshan Ancient Trail: A representative masterpiece of Tonglu's landscape, it meanders through the lofty mountains at the junction of Pujiang, Jiande, and Tonglu, with a total length of over 20 kilometers. Malingshan~ It is named because the shape of the mountains resembles a horse, with the horse's head in the Pujiang area, while the horse's body and tail are located in Jiande and Tonglu. The section from Luci to Shishe, also known as the 'aqueduct section,' includes the essence of the ancient trail's scenery. Tour route: Overall, it is from west to east (or the opposite way), following Luci Creek and the aqueduct, connecting three villages in an easy crossing 'Luci Village - Maoping Village - Shishe Village', with a total distance of about 11 kilometers. Luci Village: This beautiful village by the Fuchun River is a business card of Tonglu's landscape, facing Yan Ziling's fishing platform across the river. It was named after the cormorants that used to fish in the Luci Bay area, hence the name Cormorant Village, which was later changed to Luci Village. Fan Zhongyan visited Luci twice, writing poems such as 'Staying at Fang Gan's Old Residence'... It is also claimed to be one of the real-life locations where Huang Gongwang created the 'Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains'. Maoping Village: The village was established during the Song and Yuan dynasties, with an ancient cobblestone-paved path running through the village from north to south. The several covered bridges across the river in the village are highlights. There are a few restaurants and shops here for replenishment. Shishe Village: Although Shishe Village, surrounded by mountains on four sides and water on three, is hidden deep within Fuchunjiang Town, it is the most commercialized of the three villages on the ancient trail, with cafes, restaurants, and guesthouses... and the dining prices are not low. Shishe Camphor Tree: On the opposite bank of the northwest corner of Shishe Village, there is a very beautiful camphor tree, named 'Shishe Camphor Tree' on the map, which is very worth visiting.
