The Giant's Tongue is a long but easy journey

#2024Travel Review Trolltunga Trolltunga, also known as the "Devil's Tongue", is located in the canyon of Odda, Norway (1,100 meters above sea level). It is a magical horizontal rock extending from the mountains. The Devil's Tongue is only tiring because of the long distance. In fact, it is not difficult to walk. Based on my personal physical strength, we walked for 8 hours. This was the longest hike during this trip to Norway. If you are worried about the long journey and not being able to get down the mountain before dark, you can take the shuttle bus as early as possible like us (6:30 at the earliest). We took the shuttle bus from P2 (the second parking lot) to P3 (the third parking lot) at 7:00, and walked around and took photos easily at 7:30 in the morning. It’s really worthwhile to spend a small amount of money to reduce 8 kilometers of uphill section! (During the peak tourist season, be sure to check the timetable on the website and make reservations in advance) Also, you need to check the sunset time. After all, there are still 20 kilometers left to climb. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. The road signs along the way are clear. In addition to the red arrows on the stone walls, the towering signposts can be seen from a long distance, so you won't get lost! 🕰️Business hours: It is best to take the shuttle bus from P3 to P2; There are three parking lots, from far to near, they are P1 to P3: ✻ P1 parking lot: located in the town of Tyssedal, 9.8km from the upper starting point ✻ P2 parking lot: the old starting point of the Devil's Tongue hike (Old Trolltunga Starting Point), 4.3km from the upper starting point ✻ P3 parking lot: a newly established parking lot, located at the new starting point of the Devil's Tongue hike (upper starting point), 10.1km from the Devil's Tongue 🏖️Atmosphere/facilities: beautiful scenery/shuttle bus and parking lot 📍Address: located near the town of Odda in southwestern Norway 💰Per capita consumption: car fare or parking fee 💞Recommendation reason: not difficult, just far away, different from urban sightseeing
