#summerdestinations During my summer vacation, I had the chance to explore Tsarevets Fortress in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, and it was a truly memorable experience. Perched on a hill overlooking the city, this medieval fortress is a marvel of architecture and history. The entrance fee was just €6, which was well worth it for the expansive views and historical depth. Walking through the fortress grounds, I was captivated by the well-preserved walls, towers, and the impressive Patriarchal Cathedral. The panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the Yantra River were breathtaking. 🏰🌄 The fortress’s layout and its role in Bulgarian history make it a fascinating visit. Nearby, Veliko Tarnovo’s old town is charming, with its narrow streets and quaint shops. Don’t miss a stroll along the Tsarevets Hill and the nearby Samovodska Charshiya, a historical marketplace with traditional crafts and foods.
