The Wuchang Ancient City Doujiying District is a new landmark in Wuhan, which was officially opened on September 24, 2024 after upgrading and renovation. Doujiying is located between the northern foot of Snake Mountain in Wuchang and Hanyangmen Street. It is an ancient alley in the Song Dynasty, and its name means "fighting for food and gold". After the renovation, Doujiying retains the original Republic of China-style characteristic buildings, and combines the ancient city style, regional characteristics and new consumer brands to inject new commercial vitality into the ancient city.
