Xiamen Hongshan Park: Watch the sunrise for free

[Love] Hongshan Park is not far from Zhongshan Road and is a free leisure park. It is part of the Wanshishan National Scenic Area. The highest point in the park is 125 meters above sea level, which is higher than the Sunlight Rock on Gulangyu Island on the opposite bank. From the top you can see Yuping Mountain to the east, the scenery of Gulangyu to the west, many islands of Dadan and Erdan to the south, and Zhongshan Park to the north. It is one of the best places to climb and have a distant view in the city. There was originally a Hongshan Temple on the mountain. Due to the unique terrain in front of the temple and the changeable wind direction, the rain threads crisscross when it rains, so there is a wonder called "Hongshan Weaving Rain", which is one of the eight major scenic spots in Xiamen. The current Hongshan Temple was rebuilt in 2009 and put into use in 2014. [Love] Hongshan Park is a commanding point in Xiamen city, so you can enjoy the sunrise, the Twin Towers, Gulangyu Island and other scenery from there, and there are not many tourists. The most important thing is that it doesn’t require any effort and can be reached via the elevator of Hongshan Temple. The third floor of the elevator is Hongshan Lecture Hall, the fourth floor is Hongshan Vegetarian Restaurant, and the mountain gate, Main Hall, and Guanyin Hall are located on the transfer floor on the fifth floor. After getting off the elevator on the 5th floor, you can enter Hongshan Park. A short walk will take you to the small pavilion on the top of the mountain, which is a good spot for taking photos. Of course, if you like hiking, you can go directly up the mountain through the main gate of Hongshan Park.
