Overview Xiangyan Temple, also known as Xiangyan Longevity Temple, is located in Baiya Mountain, Cangfang Town, Xichuan County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. It is one of the four famous temples in Henan Province and a national key cultural relic protection unit. It was built in the second year of the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty (714). In history, it was the practice site of Huizhong, the national master of the Tang Suzong and Tang Daizong dynasties. Before ascending the throne, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Li Chen, also shaved his head and hid here for seven years.
