Liuguanghe Grand Bridge

Liuguanghe Grand Bridge is a river-crossing passage connecting Xifeng County and Qianxi County in Guizhou Province, China. Located above the Liuguang River, it is one of the key projects of the Xifeng-Qianxi section highway project. The bridge began construction on July 20, 2014, completed the closure project on December 22, 2016, and opened for trial operation on January 26, 2017. The Liuguanghe Grand Bridge starts from the Tailai Interchange in Qianxi County in the west, crosses the Liuguang River, and ends at the Liutong Interchange in Xiuwen County in the east. The total length of the bridge is 1280 meters, with a main span of 580 meters. The bridge deck is a two-way four-lane expressway. The maximum vertical distance between the bridge deck and the river surface is 375 meters. It adopts a double-tower double-cable plane composite beam cable-stayed bridge structure, which not only ensures the stability and load-bearing capacity of the bridge but also adapts to the special requirements of the canyon terrain, ensuring the safety and durability of the bridge. The Liuguanghe Grand Bridge has become an important transportation hub in Guizhou Province and even the whole country. It is of great significance for promoting local economic development and the prosperity of tourism. The construction of the bridge also fully considered the requirements of ecological environment protection, adopting construction methods and structural forms that minimize ecological impact, ensuring minimal disturbance to the natural environment during construction. The completion of the bridge provides an excellent spot for tourists to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Liuguang River Canyon, becoming a new landmark in the area. It also reflects Guizhou's status as a world bridge museum.
