Xingguo Temple is located in Yulong Town, southeast of Xingyang City. It was built in the second year of the Xianheng period of the Tang Dynasty (671 AD) and is a sub-temple of the White Horse Temple in Luoyang. Opening hours: Open all day, all year round. Attraction details: The name of Xingguo Temple comes from the meaning of "the Mandate of Heaven, respect for the Buddha, and the prosperity of the country." It has a long history and was rebuilt during the Taiping Xingguo period of the Song Dynasty. However, the temple's buildings were all destroyed by war, and the current Xingguo Temple Park is an ecological garden-style landscape. There is an ancient locust tree under the mountain gate, called "Ancient Locust Night Rain." Legend has it that Liu Bang, the founding emperor of the Han Dynasty, once tied his horse here to avoid the rain, and this tree was later worshiped as a sacred tree. In early autumn 2008, when the image of the ancient locust tree was reshaped, a green-yellow snake was seen burrowing into a deep hole under the tree, adding to the legend of the ancient locust tree.
