Hiking around Lake Yamanaka, enjoying the view of Mt. Fuji

On December 17, I took the hotel shuttle bus to the bus stop by the lake (Mt. Fuji Hotel entrance) at 9:45 am, and then hiked along the clockwise direction of the Lake Yamanaka hiking/biking trail from west to east. I walked and stopped along the way, taking pictures of the scenery, and stopped constantly for the beautiful scenery. I walked very slowly, starting at 9:50 am and reaching the Lake Yamanaka Exchange Plaza at 2:15 pm, taking 4.5 hours to walk 6.6 km. The weather was clear and sunny, which was good for taking pictures. Although the temperature was only about 4°C, there was no wind and the sun was shining, so it didn't feel cold. Walking along the north shore of Lake Yamanaka, before noon, Mt. Fuji was in the side light position, and the view was clear, and the zigzag hiking trail on the northeast slope of Mt. Fuji was visible to the naked eye. The water of Lake Yamanaka was blue, and the reeds on the shore were golden. Walking along the shore, looking at the mountains and the lake, was very comfortable. Along the way, except for the White Bird Beach with swans, the Nagai Pond Water Park with bus tour groups, and the Hirano Beach at the east end of the lake, there were few tourists on the lakeside trail, which was really beautiful and pleasant. I took many pictures of swans and Mt. Fuji at White Bird Beach; I sat and watched the lake and mountains for a long time at Nagai Pond Water Park; there was a gravel road at Hirano Beach, and the dust rose when the car passed by, and the view of Mt. Fuji was backlit, and the lake and mountains were gray and white, so I passed by without stopping. I planned to sit at The Park Café for a while, but there were more than a dozen people waiting in line outside the store, so I gave up. Perhaps because it was the off-season, there were few open restaurants and stores along the way, and the water entertainment facilities were also parked on the shore. After arriving at the Exchange Plaza, I took the bus at 2:58 pm and arrived at the lakeside station at 3:25 pm, and called the hotel to send a car to pick me up. Then I soaked in the hot spring and watched Mt. Fuji.
