*An overdose of pagodas and a taste of the unique #burmese culture* Visiting pagodas sounds drudging for an international trip, or so I thought. I didn't expect to find a distinctively rich culture amid the seemingly boring tour. As soon as I stepped into the airport, I knew I was in for something new - strange yet exciting! ✔Visited 8 pagodas in a day - couldn't even remember the names ✔Ate authentic Khmer's cuisine and delicacies - way better than Vietnamese food, but nothing beats Pinoy food ✔Prayed and did rituals like the Burmese do - really, it wasn't about religion, it was about faith ✔Applied 'tanaka' on face - it's the Burmese beauty cream, walked around the streets with yellowish paste on my face. It was a pretty normal sight in #myanmar ✔Wore the 'lungi' - it's a casual attire even for men, I was surprised to see a group of men wearing skirt-like garment at the airport (ihas mode on) ✔Walked barefoot on the streets and in the temples - my first and it was scorching hot, felt like my soles burnt.
