Yangshuo Miaozai Shanye: An Immersive Experience of Folk Culture.

The moment I stepped into Yangshuo Miaozai Shanye B&B, I felt like I had traveled through time and space to a world full of folk customs. The surroundings were simple and quiet, and the sound of gongs and drums in the distance seemed to tell ancient stories. My room was decorated with folk characteristics. The bed was covered with sheets with traditional patterns, and the walls were decorated with colorful embroidery, each stitch full of the hard work of local craftsmen. The windows were decorated with exquisite paper cuttings, and the sunlight shone through them, creating mottled light and shadow on the ground, like a dream. The lobby was a showcase of folk culture. In the center of the lobby was an old sedan chair, surrounded by various folk costumes and props, as if you could see the lively wedding scene of the past. The surrounding activities allowed me to experience folk culture in depth. I participated in a folk handicraft class and learned to make sugar paintings with a local master. I was amazed to see the hot syrup turn into vivid patterns in the master's hands. When it was my turn to try, although I was unfamiliar with the technique, I had a lot of fun. In the afternoon, I watched a wonderful folk performance. The actors wore traditional costumes and performed dragon and lion dances, Nuo opera, and other programs. The joyful rhythm and wonderful performance made me immersed in it and feel the charm of folk culture. When I said goodbye to this place full of folk charm, my heart was deeply touched by the culture here. This experience was like an ancient ballad, singing in my heart for a long time, making me love folk culture more deeply. 😘
