The Pagoda of Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea

#chinatrip The mythical story of Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea is well known across China and the overseas Chinese Communities, and there is a proverbs "八仙过海，各显神通”, which means the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea where each showcasing their special divine powers. It was believed that such incident happened at the Bohai area which is near the Penglai Pavillion. As such, this site was built as the main temple and site to tell the stories of the Eight Immortals. There is a Temple which houses the statues of the Eight Immortals, together with other Taoism Great Masters, and a pagoda housing the treasures. Inside the scenic area they will tell you the mythical stories of the Eight Immortals, and how it influences the Communities around.
