Yichun Zen Expo Park

🏝Yichun Zen Culture Expo Park (Zen Expo Park) is a comprehensive cultural park integrating cultural sightseeing and experience, and leisure tourism. It is also the first expo park in China with Zen culture as its theme. The Zen Expo Park covers an area of about 3,200 mu. The main park opened in 2014 and was rated as a national 4A-level scenic spot in 2015. 🏝The construction of the Zen Expo Park is based on the profound Zen culture of Yichun, and the planning and design are centered around the themes of Buddhist Zen, Life Zen, and Yichun Zen. The architectural features of the Tang Dynasty Zen style are highlighted, and the "One Flower and Five Leaves" of Zen Buddhism is naturally integrated with the "Jungle Rules" originating from Yichun. The entire park is divided into four major areas: 🏝The architectural style of the Five Leaves Altar is derived from the Sanchi Stupa in India. The five corners are matched with five pavilions, and statues of five masters are erected on the five walls. The top of the Five Leaves Altar is a gilded bronze sculpture of "Holding a Flower and Smiling", which is shaped like a Buddha's hand holding a flower, and also resembles a phoenix spreading its wings. "Holding a Flower and Smiling" comes from a Zen story: The World Honored One held a flower and showed it to the public at the Ling Mountain Assembly. At that time, everyone was silent, except for Venerable Mahakasyapa, who smiled.
