Charming Xiangxi, Stop 9: Furong Town, the ancient town with a thousand-year-old waterfall.

Furong Town, originally called Wangcun, is an ancient town with a history of over 2,000 years. It is also known as the "Millennium Ancient Town Hanging on a Waterfall" because of the magnificent waterfall that runs through it. Located in Yongshun County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, it is one of the "Four Famous Towns of Xiangxi" along with Longshan Liye Town, Luxi Pushi Town, and Huayuan Chadong Town. It is also known as the "Heroic Town of Youyang" and "Little Nanjing." Furong Town is surrounded by water on three sides, with a waterfall running through it, creating a unique landscape. This is the largest and most spectacular waterfall in Xiangxi, cascading down the cliff in two tiers with great momentum, and can be heard from miles away. 📝Tips: Furong Town is about 80 km from Zhangjiajie via the national highway, and the most beautiful scenery is definitely on the road!
