Datian Ancient Village, Zhongshan, Guangxi.

Datian Village is an ancient village with a history of over 500 years. All villagers have the surname Yang. Their ancestors moved from Zhejiang to Guangxi during the Southern Song Dynasty, first settling in Fuchuan and then moving to Luoke Rock in present-day Zhongshan County. They moved from Luoke Rock to Datian to establish a village and stockade at the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. Walking into the village from the ancient alley, you will be hit by a strong sense of vicissitudes. The ancient bricks and blue tiles, the exquisite craftsmanship, and the patterns of flowers, birds, and animals on the roof ridge and the front wall all show the past glory of Datian Ancient Village. Every brick, tile, couplet, and mural in Datian Village contains the essence of ancient culture. The village as a whole still retains the architectural pattern of 'a river in front of the village, a geomantic forest behind, Longzhu Ridge in the north, and a stage in the south'. In addition to the ancient stage, the more than 80 ancient houses, ancient trees, ancient buildings, and ancient gate towers in the village together play a moving movement interwoven with history, culture, and art. After hundreds of years of vicissitudes, they have witnessed the development and changes of Datian Village. It is a famous historical and cultural village in China and the fifth batch of traditional villages in China.
