Quiet spot. Located near historic Havelock. Breakfast is basic.

*DON’T STAY HERE* they have extra charges for everything & they don’t make exceptions for anything. I had reservation for 5/19/23 & had car trouble. I called the Inn and told them I had car trouble would be checking in late. I called the Inn a 2nd time and asked them if they would move my reservation from 5/19/23 to 5/20/23 do to my car trouble. I was going to my daughter’s wedding on fixed income, middle of messy divorce. The Inn stated it was up to the 3rd party I went through Hopper. Hopper ‘s terms state it is up to hotel any changes to reservations. Hopper tried to get the Inn make the changes or give me a refund and they refused. All the Inn would say is it is the 3rd parties rules.

Great value for the money. Loved the breakfast and the pond out back. 15-20 minute drive to Lake McConaughy.

We stayed at Horizon on our way to and from a trip to Colorado. We chose this hotel basically because of the low price. That could be a real risk, considering where many low-cost hotels are located. This hotel is not in a bad neighborhood as someone else commented on. It is right off I-80 near the airport and very easy to find. Because of their location, there is nowhere to really get out for a nice walk after traveling a long time. There are some gas stations nearby. We chose to go to town to find a good restaurant to eat at... and there are places within a 10 minute's drive. Staff is friendly and helpful! Rooms are very clean. The beds are a bit firm, but comfortable. Wifi actually worked. The in-room compact refrigerator was handy to keep our things from spoiling. Good water pressure made for a decent shower. One thing they could improve, perhaps, are the towels and washcloths were a bit on the scratchy side. The A/C worked very well. The entire hotel was well kept. Breakfast is definitely a continental style breakfast. They had a waffle maker for those who enjoy something more than cereal, bagels, etc. Noise levels being near an airport? We had no airport noise whatsoever during either stay. Would we stay here again if we had the opportunity? Sure would. Appears to be family owned and we support small businesses any chance we get. We stay at Days inn it was quite room was clean and comfortable beds and pillows swimming pool it was great and clean at breakfast it was nice no any issues the front desk guy was all way's smiling and help full the staff was great and help to me I'm member of Wyndham and it was nice motel I will share with my friend any friends travel in I 80 so they stayed in this motel it is awesome place in this town I have no comment in this motel I'm stay again thanks for management

This is rather a lengthy review, so where to start. We'll start with the booking. I booked 2 smoking rooms, I chose this motel based on the higher reviews the price and the fact that it allowed pets thought it would be a quaint little motel. I booked this a few months in advance and I used the zip app to purchase rooms. Well the night before the owner messaged me asking if I meant to book a smoking room, no big deal I said yes. Well the next day I get an email from the place that I booked this through and my payment info was declined do to card being expired, if you know this zip app the card expires if not used by a certain time. She calls me and tells me this, I'm driving so I couldn't give her a card to use, but I told her I would have my girlfriend call her and get it taken care of, which my girlfriend did, problem solved. Okay the outside, the building is old a outdated it's located on a busy street close to a lot of restaurants and very convenient walking distance. ( but due to this this place has a lot of noise I mean a lot! Not her fault but take that into consideration if you book here) Now for the rooms... We weren't expecting a 5 star place I mean it was a smoking room, but this room I couldn't even call it a 0 star room, it had mold on the ceiling that it looked like they painted over( her response was it was from the wall being darker and the ceiling being white and it was over lap... It wasn't) found ants and cockroachs in room the bed frame was busted ( when I say frame I mean the leg of the bed, they had taken duct tape and tried fixing the leg with that. The shower when turned on you have to pull a valve for the water to come out of the shower head, when valve was pulled water started spraying from the faucet by the wall instead of the shower head. I tightened the faucet so it would stop spraying and start spraying from the shower head. Now the linen part of the review, the towels had smelled like they were washed then left in the washer for a day or 2 before putting them in the drier, the sheets had burn marks in them the pillow cases were stained. We should have just left right then and there but it was late. The next morning I get up and head out to do the thing I had come to this town for. When I walked out, there was a vehicle with people sleeping in it ( her response was they didn't have the money for deposit for pets so they slept in the vehicle with the pets) I get a message from the place I had booked this through asking me how the process was and how the rooms were. I wrote a response with the problems I had in countered. And that's when it got really bad. They owner messaged me through the booking company. I didn't reposned right away. The owner then started messaging me on my personal phone. Again I didn't respond I was busy, she then started messaging my girlfriend on her personal phone. My girlfriend and talked about this and we decided we would just go to a different place and check out of there, we were

It was a nice stay, especially for a single night with m'lady as we were passing through. It was a simple room with simple amenities, unfortunately not much for breakfast but there is a McDonald's right across the street for roadtrip eats. Plenty diners near the area that we checked out
