The Angus Inn is ideally situated. It's directly opposite the Queensgate Mall and only a few minutes walk from the Lower Hutt Bowling Club where we were attending a function. The Inn has all the facilities that you need such as a laundry and a restaurant. The booking went like clockwork with no hassles. An enjoyable stay.

The location is very good as well as the offer of activities. Rooms and amenities are pretty average.

It's our second time staying at this beautiful beautiful modern hotel, while the service ,customer service and location was great ,the rooms itself start showing the time ,while the room was fantastic, would do with a bit more attention to detail on the cleaning, still would highly recommend this place .

I wanted to stay somewhere close to public transport. The main train station is just a stone’s throw away. It is near the end of Lambton Quay- the main drag in Wellington. Also for my friends who live in the outer suburbs of Wellington this hotel is close to the freeway and an easy access to collect me. The room is really clean and spacious and there is a kitchenette with stove and microwave to heat up/cook food. The bathroom is huge and has an accessible shower which is quite impressive.

Stayed one night at James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor for a conference held onsite. Check-in staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel has three separate lift banks servicing different areas — if you’re unfamiliar with Wellington, definitely ask staff to explain the easiest exit route to the city. It makes a big difference. Breakfast was a very large buffet with plenty of options, though I’ve experienced better quality elsewhere. The hotel itself is older but has solid bones. Perfectly adequate for a work overnight stay. For personal travel I’d probably choose somewhere with more atmosphere, however it felt safe and comfortable. One odd feature: some rooms face an internal terrace/window area — remember to close your curtains as people can see straight in. Bed was clean and well made, the room was tidy, though the carpet is showing its age. The shower had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water — a highlight. Overall: reliable, practical conference accommodation rather than a destination stay.

We enjoyed a couple of nights' stay at this centrally located hotel. The self service check-in and check-out process was relatively seamless and staff were responsive when we requested fresh towels and sheets. The room was comfortable and spacious enough for us, although there is no window (other than a small skylight).

Понравился номер с прекрасной понарамой, очень чистый и новый. Завтрак был достаточно скудным, в основном углеводы и вареные яйца. Хотелось бы видеть чтото большее за 25$. Как минимум несколько вариантов приготовления яиц.

I had a really enjoyable stay at Copthorne Solway Park. The grounds are spacious and beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere feels relaxed and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The room was comfortable, the bed was great, and the facilities—especially the pool and outdoor areas—made it easy to unwind after a long day. One small thing to note is that I did encounter a couple of insects in the room. It wasn’t a major issue, and given the rural setting it’s probably hard to avoid completely, but it’s worth mentioning.

The room is very tidy and big, even there is no parking available but the staff showed me a free space along the road to park overnight. There is even washing machine which surprised me and it was working well. The breakfast is good but price is 35 nzd not 19 mentioned in the trip site. I booked the room reading others' comment about the breakfast but to be honest the types of food is not so much and didnt meet my expectations.
