The accommodation was luxurious yet embraced the island's natural charm, with spacious villas adorned with traditional Thai architecture and modern amenities. Whether dining by the poolside or enjoying a romantic dinner on the beach, each experience was a feast for the senses. But what truly sets Santhiya apart is its exceptional service. The staff's genuine warmth and attentiveness made us feel like family, ensuring that every moment of our stay was memorable. From sunrise yoga sessions overlooking the ocean to leisurely strolls along the white sandy beaches, every day was filled with moments of tranquility and bliss. We spent 10 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect for our needs! An utterly beautiful hotel with clean rooms and facilities and the kindest, most helpful staff I've ever come across in a hotel. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with direct access to the 2.4km pool - this was a great feature and it felt like we had a bit of private pool whilst being able to swim all the way to the main pool. The pool also adds to the feeling that you're in a village community rather than a commercial hotel, as we made friends with our ”neighbours” and would see them from time to time when we were out swimming. The hotel's beach is clean and stunning, the sun beds are thickly padded and comfortable, and we made use of the bodyboarding and kayaking equipment on our stay. The restaurants at the hotel were incredible! The main ones are Ta-Krai (Thai), Sakura (Japanese), and Olive (Italian). Before arriving I was a bit sceptical at how authentic the restaurants would be but the hotel has ensured they've brought in the best chefs who could bring authentic cuisine to Khao Lak. The sushi at Sakura was probably the freshest and tastiest I've ever had (albeit, I've not been to Japan yet, but it's still better than all the London sushi places where we live and even better than Nobu). We loved Olive restaurant too, in particular their Sunset BBQ evening where you're spoilt for choice on meats, seafood, sides, salads, and a full-on Italian cheese and ham bar with really delicious, authentic selections. Chef Enzo there was dishing out cheeses to us and making recommendations what to pair each cheese with and was so helpful (and the cheeses were incredible). We opted for the Breakfast and Dinner package and we're really glad we did as we loved going back to those restaurants over the 10 days. For lunch we'd eat at the hotel cafes, or out at excursions, or at local restaurants adjacent to the hotel, such as Phen's (delicious!). We also bought a spa package at Quan Spa in the hotel and booked in lots of treatments throughout our stay. The spa is beautiful and the massage therapists were excellent; it's a bit pricier than outside the hotel but the spa environment is worth it for that luxe feeling (and still cheaper than in the UK!). Overall, I don't think we found and faults with our stay at JWM and we will definitely come back in the future, perhaps for our anniversaries! And we would highly recommend it to all our family and friends!

Nous avons séjourné pour la 2ème fois dans ce resort qui est un véritable paradis pour les enfants. Nous avions nos 2 pts enfants (8 et 10 ans) avec nous et à leur arrivée dans la chambre ils ont trouvé celle-ci très ”classe” (il y avait un toboggan pour descendre du lit superposé en haut). C'est un resort tout à fait adapté pour les familles avec des enfants, beaucoup de jeux aquatiques, des piscines leur sont réservées. Nous avions une gde chambre pour nous 4 avec une cloison coulissante pour avoir un peu d'intimité. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est très varié et chacun trouve de quoi se régaler aussi bien en nourriture asiatique qu'internationale. Le personnel est adorable et très serviable. L'hôtel est très bien situé, à 10 mn à pied de la rue très commerçante avec beaucoup de restaurants. Nous avions réservé une navette privée pour les transferts depuis et vers l'aéroport de Phuket, tout s'est très bien passé. A la fin de la semaine, nos petits enfants nous ont demandé pourquoi nous ne restions pas une 2ème semaine, c'est dire s'ils ont aimé. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir une 3ème fois .

First time to Khao Lak. Only 1 hour car from Phuket Airport. The hotel has private beach, spa & massage , cafe, restaurant and bar. Nice and big public pool (some suite come with private pool). This place not crowded as in Phuket city . Suit for Solo, Family and with buddies . Hotel staff are very friendly and warm to be here. Especially thanks to staff named Kig & Praew ! 👍🏻

Stay in this beautiful resort only if you’re ready to be spoilt by the amazing hospitality of their staff. It’s located in the middle of nowhere, but that doesn’t matter as the resort itself has everything you’ll need. We took the all in package. Rooms are luxurious, very clean, very well kept. The resort itself is very well kept, pool, beach, bar, playroom. Very family friendly. Stayed here twice, both during peak (March) and low peak(June), both occasions felt very different, i personally preferred the peak, however one thing that did not change was the hospitality of their amazing staff! A special shout out to Kwan for professionally handling the tantrum of a hungry 35yr old (me). Great selection of food in their restaurants too. And when you need a laugh, Sit@Aon will crack you up. Will always come back.

Stay for 2 night in This hotel. Love the pool suite room so much- very spacious and modern, well-designed/decoration. Some dusty are were found at the corner of the bed but the bedsheets was clean.very helpful staffs from reception to restaurant. Having dinner for 2 night at the restaurant- taste quite good for Thai foods. Star pool was amazing. This hotel was the best we had ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious with all top quality furnishings, bright & clean. Breakfast, there is everything you could possibly want to eat, the bread is freshly cooked, superb omelettes, salads,meat,sushi the list goes on. Staff extremely nice & so helpful, always smiling & greeting you with Sawadee khrap 🙏, we found this also outside the hotel, never met such kind people. The pools are spotless & plenty to choose from, beach lovely with plenty of sun bed’s & shade. Happy hour 3 times a day, amazing cocktails Mia Tia was my favourite 🍹 The town is only a short stroll, there are plenty of shop’s, restaurants , beauty/ massage & Taylor’s. I had a dress made at Milanio, 2nd taylor as you walk from the hotel. It is beautifully made & the fit is perfect, I’d highly recommend a visit. Taxis can be booked at the hotel but we walked up the street & got in an open truck & went to White Sands Beach, well worth a trip. It is much cheaper to book your trips outside the hotel & there is a massive choice of places to visit. We did James Bond a brilliant day out. All in all the hotel is outstanding, lovely people, perfect setting & we can’t wait to return.

We arrived at the HotSpring Beach Resort at the end of June '23, just a week after a new General Manager had started his new role - something we found out because he was actively meeting and greeting guests and will obviously be a great asset to the resort. He is overseeing a huge number of renovations and upgrades due for completion by the end of 2023 - and so any older reviews that speak of the resort needing some attention will now likely be redundant as the place is undergoing a major - and impressive - facelift. We were thrilled by our spacious room, the fantastic hot spring pools and the excellent contrast of the icy 'chill' pool (a rarity in Thailand, where refreshingly cold water to dip in is not so common). The staff were friendly and courteous throughout, and the grounds all the way to the beach are quite wonderful. Of course, in any transformation there is always something that still needs tweaking. Our two recommendations to the resort would be to enhance the taste and the number of vegetarian options of breakfast, which was generally a little on the bland side (though we ate two a la carte dinners at the resort restaurant which were outsanding and quite delicious). The other recommendation is to keep the beach free of the relentless flow of plastic and other garbage which the sea washes up. Although this is so common everywhere, and certainly not the fault of the resort, the beach gets a daily deposit of bottles and other plastics, and it would be great to see some efforts being made to collect and tidy the beach area as it's not huge, and this would certainly be an hour well-spent. Overall, highly recommended for a stay here - it's a unique place with such relaxing waters and the sense you're in the middle of a tropical forest with secret thermal springs just waiting to be discovered. If you're there in low season of June/Jule like us, then you won't see too many other people around and you can enjoy a lot of peace and quiet. Definitely worth a visit!

We upgraded from 2 suites from a package TUI booking pool villa 838 costing about 42K THB for 14 nights in November and December 2022. 2 adults, and 2 kids age 17 and 10 so the privacy of a private pool was one of our highlights of the holiday. This is such a peaceful resort with beautiful surroundings and very helpful staff. Notably Emme, Gift, Mark, Tee, Big, Yuda, Tar, Pecky and Winai. This resort is not within walking distance of town / Biang Nang market area, and a taxi to go there will set you back 300 THB each way from the guys on the beach outside the gate. That's the going rate both ways so don't be conned by a chancer. In the resort there's 2 restaurants, one's a buffet and the Napalai on the villa side of the river and you can eat from both if you upgrade. There are 2 swimming pools, several bars and organised trips to temples, islands, local markets, animal sanctuaries offered from the front desk or holiday rep so you aren't cut off from civilisation by being in such a remote area surrounded by beach and jungle, which is actually a plus point if you're a surfer, nature or beach lover because this resort scores a 10 if that's what interests you. We didn't travel to Thailand for the nightlife, just to chill in some winter sun. There's ample entertainment just 10 minutes away from the resort, in town or Memories bar, but if you want boom, boom, boom and all night drinking go to Phuket instead. I'd definitely return, but not with children.

Our stay at Robinson the was great. It was the end of our trip with two sets of parents, and the perfect place to wind down and relax on a beautiful beach. The staff was excellent and made us feel immediately welcomed. The biggest positives in our view: Staff, cleanliness, immaculate grounds, breakfast, gym/basketball/sports courts, and the great beach. What could be improved upon: the a la carte menu at the Bamboo bar was lacking in Thai options, as well as general quality. We ordered 7 dishes, and only the samosas and fish and chips were of decent quality compared to other food on our trip. This was in stark contrast to their breakfast and dinner buffets, which were both pretty good. Neutral: The location. While the resort has everything you'd need, they are fairly out of the way of everything. This offers a more private and quiet feel, but also means options are lacking, such as finding good Thai food or doing any light shopping or stocking up on drinking water at a sane price. - If you walk south on the beach (through a fun rocky area when tide isn't too high), you'll find some good restaurants, such as Thai Beach restaurant. Their food was among the best we'd had on our trip. The massaman curry was fantastic. Overall: Lovely stay, and would come back again for a few days!

Great location 2 hours north of Phuket. Was away from the crowded hustle and bustle of Phuket. Awesome swimming pool. 2 restaurant options. Backs on to beach and several other resorts nearby. Plenty of beach bars. Staff were fantastic and could not do enough for us. Thai people are so friendly. Be prepared for plenty of walking if your accommodation is at the front of the resort - 800m walk to the main swimming pool and Green Mango Restaurant and beach at the rear of the resort. Would go again. Ideal for families or couples alike.

Неплохой отель, новый и современный с удобным расположением. Номера с интересным дизайном, достаточно просторные, но уборка оставляла желать лучшего- на полу обнаружили длинные черные волосы. Холодильник чуть живой, температуру не регулирует и напор воды в душевой слабый. Кровать и постельные принадлежности очень удобные, спать одно удовольствие. Территория отеля большая и зеленая, есть мини сад и мини зоопарк, где можно покормить кроликов. Пляж очень красивый и живописный в хвойном лесу, большое количество шезлонгов и диванчиков. Но, поскольку были в низкий сезон, в море зайти не удалось, а плавать в бассейне не возникло никакого желания- мутный и грязный и сам по себе неинтересный, просто небольшой прямоугольник в затемненном месте. Может просто попали под длинные тайские выходные, и в отеле было столпотворение. Завтраки тоже не впечатлили. Кажется и есть из чего выбрать, но еда так себе и выпечка была несвежая. Наверное, мы не сожалеем, что останавливались в этом отеле, но второй раз, скорее всего- нет

A beautiful hotel, staff are friendly and helpfully. Very good services and nice breakfast which is many items and variety. Meanwhile, not only many corner for taking photos but also the hotel still has many activities to serve the guest. Recommended!! #designhotel

Отель состоит из двух корпусов. Тот что ближе к морю, постарше. Мебель уставшая, темновато в номере. Через дорогу-поновее. Номера с выходом иои видом на бассейн. Все отлично! Очень хорошие завтраки. Море рядом. Несколько бассейнов. Из минусов-в очень немногих номерах лесенки в бассейн. У нас не было. Неудобно вылазить из бассейна, можно подскользнуться. Подушки очень высокие и твёрдые. Я так и не нашла для себя удобную, хотя их четыре. В ванне очень мало геля и шампуня(наливают по запросу по одной маленькой бутылочке). Кондиционера для волос нет. Одно маленькое мыльце.

Our stay at Merlin Khao Lak was pretty great. We had a week there, and sincerely enjoyed the feeling of staying in a contained and nicely taken care of rain forest by the beach. The location was nearly perfect, but the beach itself wasn't very swimmable (beginning of rain season, to be fair). Fortunately, there were other beaches on the same coast that were nicer during the same time of year, so we did get time in the sea water. Even without sea swimming, the ambience from the waves and the sunsets made the beach plenty nice for us at Merlin. There is also a variety of nicepy kept pools to enjoy, though I typically don't enjoy pools personally. Service/food were both nice as well. The staff was pleasant enough, but it did feel weird that an ecologically minded resort had the least meat/dairy alternatives of any of the several resorts/hotels we stayed at. I found ordering curries with no seafood or meat simple though, and they were mostly still good. The massaman curry was a miss, but everything else I tried was quite good for resort food! We really loved the touch of the room's default tv channel being an info channel about the resort's wildlife and maintenance. That, plus the several info booklets allowed us to have a more guided and knowledgeable experience while sightseeing on the exceptional grounds. It was really fun running into others who were also just having a look around and waiting to see a different animal pop up. We enjoyed our stay. Next time we'd likely come back, while also spending some time up the coast a bit.

Our stay was such a blast that we decided to come back in the end of our trip. Everything is just perfect, starting from the gorgeous staff to the modern, luxurious rooms and the delicious food. The manager of this amazing place really has a deep understanding of hospitality and comfort. This was the most memorable place we stayed in during our trip, absolutely worth to stay in!

The hotel rooms are a bit old-fashioned and not very spacious, but overall they are acceptable. The breakfast is quite abundant. The French owner provides warm service, and when he is present, the staff's service is even better and more enthusiastic. Overall, the experience is quite relaxing.

This property offers a tranquil environment in a beautiful location, ideal for nature lovers and anyone looking to relax. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We lucked into an upgraded room that was spacious and fabulous. Everything worked well, notably the showers (our villa had 1 indoor and 1 outdoor) had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. There is an excellent breakfast buffet as well as delicious cuisine for lunch and dinner. This hotel, unlike many, is not stagnant. It has been recently improved and they will continue to make upgrades over the next few years as we learned from the management. We will be back to enjoy this lovely venue again.

Kerana kanak-kanak itu belum berumur 16 tahun dan tidak boleh tinggal di vila rumah pokok, dia memilih syurga di pantai yang sama. Perkhidmatan ini sangat baik, persekitaran sangat damai, sarapan pagi tidak begitu kaya, tetapi cukup untuk dimakan. Bilik yang ditempah termasuk yoga laut dan pantai. Tempat untuk ke laut adalah pulau kecil Pak Bia, sangat cantik dan tenang. Pulau yang ramping, pantai berpasir hanya terserlah ketika air surut. Yoga pantai juga sangat selesa. Hotel ini terletak di sebelah timur Little Long Island, lokasi menonton matahari terbit yang sempurna! Penggunaan hotel agak tinggi, semua harga perlu menambah cukai 17% dan caj perkhidmatan.

高低床非常適合二寶家庭，滑滑梯泳池，小童活動室海洋球適合親子，酒店整體比較新，設計感很好，前區的泳池很安靜適合度蜜月家庭，別墅也很贊無預算上限首選，唯一美中不足是瑤亞島的水質一般，五六點是退潮期無海衹有灘塗，上午到三四點可以海灘玩玩踩踩水。周邊餐廳如Chill Chill價廉物美，酒店裡的日本餐廳價位比較貴且菜式很一般不推薦，沙灘餐廳味道不錯，但海鮮拼盤一千多，海鮮很一般像是凍的，慎點。 關於快艇問題，酒店官網顯示訂三晚包快艇，攜程我也定了三晚沒收錢所以到底攜程預訂包不包快艇費不是很確定，最好攜程可以在預訂裏也寫清楚，畢竟官網預訂網速很慢，用慣攜程還是很方便的

Our stay at the The Treehouse Villas was quite simply magnificent! The 2 level treehouse's are so amazing its difficult to describe them. The setting on the edge of a tropical forest is stunning, with limestone cliffs, lush green forestry, and beach all around. The staff are genuinely so nice and friendly, nothing is to much trouble. Everything we saw while there gave us the WOW factor, and the attention to detail was amazing. It's the perfect ending to a multi trip holiday in Thailand, we will definitely be visiting again next year.

According to Google the Thiwson Beach Resort is a 4 star resort, by definition this means it needs to offer a deluxe guest experience with a wide range of facilities, superior design qualities and excellent service. Based on this definition I felt it fell short of the mark and is a 3 star hotel at best, having said that, I absolutely loved it hence the high rating. At the time of writing #kohyaoyai only has a handful of resorts and guesthouses to choose from, i researched them carefully, my essentials being air conditioning & swimming pool in the mid range price bracket, my wish list being a characterful locally owned property on a beach. With the @thiwsonbeach I struck gold. This unpolished gem offered everything on my wish list plus more. Owned by a local family, three generations of whom regularly join the guests for dinner in the open air restaurant which serves very tasty reasonable priced Thai food and great chicken nuggets to the delight of my toddler (albeit they were out of fries for the duration of our stay!). Beside this are the beachfront huts are in prime position with their own outdoor jacuzzi, it’s no wonder they book up so far in advance. There are facilities on site to hire scooters or book tours to explore the island and two lovely pool areas. I was initially disappointed with the hilltop location of our own bungalow which are actually across the road from the others, but the quiet semi private pool area in front of our large veranda anf the sunrise view through the frangipani trees buckled my reservations. Our family suite was made up of 2 interconnecting rooms, including an extra bed charge charge & 3% credit card levy cost us €150 per night. The resort isn’t perfect, there are holes in the concrete (my little girl took a nasty fall in one) & bugs in the rooms (to the delight of my 9 year old boy), there is no room service and while there is sand the sea is separated from the resort with a concrete flood barrier & is extremely tidal so not ideal for swimming but for me character trumps perfection every time so I would return again in a heartbeat💖

I reserved two beautiful sea-facing rooms with the resort but due to some personal crisis, I wasn't able to continue with the booking. The management was immensely kind and understanding with the entire cancellation process despite of the consequence it had on their future bookings. They were prompt with their response as well as professional with their behavior. The resort management also initiated a detailed personalized survey with me to understand service/product demands that customers can potentially have to help them perform even better. This additional detail really made me realize how sensitive and welcoming the staff is to their customer's needs. On the basis of their service and conduct alone, I would definitely recommend everyone to chose this resort for their next trip!

L'hôtel est un grand complexe destiné à une clientèle (chinoise) nombreuse. Il est très bien situé avec un accès direct à la plage et à proximité de petits restaurants. Les chambres sont agréables, propres et bien entretrenues. La clientèle chinoise n'étant pas encore revenue depuis le Covid, les prestations sont plutôt moyennes par manque de personnel néanmoins très sympathique et serviable. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est très moyen et il n'y a pas de possibilité de repas midi ou soir bien que la salle de restauration soit immense. Ko Yao Yai étant réputée pour être plus sauvage que le reste des îles de la région, il n'est pas étonnant que le redécollage touristique soit tardif et la vie semble ”au ralenti”.
