Gruyères Castle

The castle of Gruyère, located in the Alps, was built in the Middle Ages and is free to visit with a Swiss pass. It is said that there were 19 counts living here, collecting Louis Dynasty objects and paintings, standing on the observation deck of the castle, you can see the town of Gruyère from a distance.

Walk up and you can walk to the hill at the end of the town to see this medieval castle, built in 1270, belonging to the private property of the Earl of Gruyère, the residence of the Earl of successive generations, until it was sold in bankruptcy in 1552, and is now a castle museum.

This is Gruier Castle that I stopped by during my trip to Switzerland. It seems like there was a festival, but it was like a festival in a small country village.
