I took my child to Hong Kong over the weekend, mainly to meet friends. The Hong Kong I saw for the first time was somewhat different from what I had anticipated. We visited Tsim Sha Tsui, West Kowloon, Wan Chai, strolled around Victoria Harbour, Harbour City, and went up to the Peak. The streets of Hong Kong were not crowded, especially Victoria Harbour, where there were not many tourists under the night sky, and the breeze was very comfortable. It felt a bit like the Bund in Shanghai, but with far fewer people. Another impression from this trip to Hong Kong is that dining in restaurants is really expensive, with a simple dish costing over 100, and even fast food like beef rice and noodles costing around 80-90. Accommodation: After reading many posts online, we ended up staying at the Hong Kong Metropark Hotel Kowloon with our child. The environment was okay, at least the room we stayed in was relatively clean.

A trip to Victoria Peak is a must for visitors to Hong Kong. Many ride up the Peak Tram and enjoy the view from there but don't know there's much more to see. A circle route takes you all the way around the Peak, giving a view in every direction. Parts of the trail go through well established forest and it feels more like being in the jungle than in the middle of a densely populated city. It's definitely one of the best places to see the skylines of Central and Kowloon, separated by Victoria Harbour. The circle takes about an hour at a reasonable walking pace. To get there, take the Peak Tram or climb up one of several trails from Central. Walking along the waterfront boardwalk, the route can follow North Point, Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Central, Sai Wan, and Sai Ying Pun. 1. Accommodation budget: The hotel rooms in the Central area are smaller, but the location is excellent. Generally, a four-star hotel room is about 13 square meters, and the room rate is around 600 yuan, of course, this is the non-weekend price. The room rate for 3 days and 2 nights (including taxes) is about 1300 yuan. 2. Dining budget: There are many restaurants in Hong Kong with different grades, and the most cost-effective ones are the tea restaurants. The standard way to reach the top of Tai Ping Shan is to take the newly reopened cable car from Admiralty to the peak, but during holidays, there is often a long queue, so most tourists and locals choose to take the No. 15 double-decker bus from Central or Admiralty to the peak. If you sit on the upper deck, you can enjoy the scenery along the way. The most amazing thing is the driver's driving skills, as the road is winding and narrow, and traffic is two-way, but the speed is not too slow. We spent HKD 75 per person for the entrance ticket and arrived at the "Sky Terrace 428" on the top floor of the Peak Tower. This is the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful Victoria Harbour view. You can overlook the entire harbour day and night from the mountaintop, which will definitely shock your vision... Although I have been to the top of Tai Ping Shan many times, my friend recommended the circular walking path on the mountaintop. Not only is the road flat, but the scenery is also more beautiful. We walked and stopped for two hours, starting from Luji Road and walking to Xiali Road, and then back to the Tai Ping Shan Square.
