Hyogo House

The Hyogo Prefectural Mansion is located in the central district of Kobe. It is a building with French Renaissance art style. It was designed by the famous architect Yamaguchi Hanroku and opened in Meiji 35 (1902). It used to be the main office building of the 4th generation county government, but it was destroyed in the war, leaving only the outer wall of the entire mansion. After two restorations after the war, it has become a Hyogo prefectural residence with a strong Meiji style. The mansion often hosts various important ceremonies, and memorial ceremonies for the Great Hanshin Earthquake are also held here.
