Hal Saflieni Hypogeum

Halsavleni Underground Palace is known as the "prehistoric holy place". This underground palace was built between 3200 BC and 2900 BC. It was excavated by ancient humans in the Neolithic Age. 12 meters, breathtaking. At first it seemed to be a temple, but later it was changed to a cemetery. It has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The entire underground palace covers an area of 500 square meters, including 38 stone houses. There are many palace caves with different uses, including grain storage room, water storage room, oracle room, sacrificial burial room, etc.
