The Big Buddha, Phuket

It’s my favorite viewing point in Phuket. Beautiful views open from the 400-meter hill, where one of the largest Buddha statues in Thailand is located. The Buddha statue depicts Gautama in a sitting position and is 45 metres (148 feet) tall and 25.45 metres (83.5 feet) wide. Tips for visiting: you can walk up to the statue from the sea, but take plenty of water with you - the path is long and difficult. Or just take a taxi. #buddha #temple #thailand #mytripvlog #phuket

The Big Buddha of Phuket is one of the most representative attractions of Phuket Island, located on the top of Nakkerd Hill, standing 45 meters high, it is one of the largest bronze Buddha statues in the world. You can overlook the entire Phuket town and the surrounding bays from the mountain, enjoying the charming scenery. On the way to the mountaintop, you can also explore many interesting small shops and restaurants, taste local delicacies, and buy handicrafts and souvenirs. #phukettrip Our trip to the Big Buddha was stunning! If you love interesting architecture, do visit the Big Buddha. It was made of granite and white marble so it gives out cool and calming energy. The statues were really amazing and they had a meditation class. I would recommend doing the 7 minute happy meditation while you are here! Tranquil peaceful vibe! We enjoyed a serene and breathtaking view from the top too. The sunset was very beautiful.

Surrounding the statue were smaller shrines, where devotees offered prayers and incense, creating a sense of reverence and devotion. From the vantage point of The Big Buddha, I was treated to breathtaking panoramic views of Phuket's lush landscapes and sparkling coastline. It was a moment of profound connection with both nature and spirituality, as I reflected on the beauty and wonder of the world around me. Descending from the summit, I took the time to explore the surrounding grounds, which were adorned with intricate statues, colorful flags, and serene meditation spaces. It was a journey of self-reflection and introspection, as I absorbed the energy and wisdom that permeated the sacred site. Leaving The Big Buddha, I felt a sense of peace and renewal wash over me. #songkran2024 Very very beautiful temple. Lot to see. I noticed that not many people don't know the dressing rules. But hope they learn. You can fly your drone here, there are specific rules on the gate and green signs where you can set up your drone. Be careful and remember the fly time is 10-15 minutes. Do not fly near any Statue nor people. Enjoy!! - Parking area might be full time to time so then it's very difficult to find car park. Motorbikes have designated area.
