Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland

Exchange electronic tickets at the tourist service center, that is, at the entrance of the gate. Very soon and very convenient. Some small souvenirs bought inside, jewelry, clothes and the like are not bad. It is divided into three parts, and it takes about an hour to go all out. You can also choose to return at the junction of the three parts. It is basically a flat road, not difficult to walk, but some places are still a bit muddy if it rains. Remember to bring some drinking water. Seeing that Mrs. Knox's jet spring does not enter from this gate, driving the road next to it for about two or three minutes, there is a separate parking lot. It erupts around ten minutes.

Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland is a renowned geothermal area located in the Taupo Volcanic Zone of New Zealand's North Island. In simple words its reallt a wonderland. At Waiotapu Thermal Wonderlan you can explore the geothermal Park which will much bigger than you expected and you will enjoy a lot around walking the easy trails to see the different pools and the walk through the pools will be very interesting. The geyser is not in the main park and it’s down a different side road. Both the lady Knox and thermal area are worth visit and the site is full of bright colored basins: yellow, orange, bright green. Waiotapu does a good job of displaying geothermal particularly the brilliant colors. You must get an amazing smelly experience. Simply majestic.

Wai-o-Tapu is small in size – only 18 square kilometers – but it is densely packed with all kinds of geothermal attractions. Here, the underground forces of nature burst to the surface in many of the most spectacular ways: hot springs are bubbling everywhere, fumaroles are smoking, mud ponds are bubbling; lakes of the most unimaginable colors are visible in numerous craters and sinkholes; an almost real geyser erupts once a day.Since 1931, there has been a landscape reserve in Wai-o-Tapu. The most picturesque part of it is managed by a private commercial enterprise "Wai-o-Tapu Thermal Wonderland" under a concession agreement. At the entrance, visitors are given a detailed guide map. It identifies and describes in detail all 25 geothermal facilities of the park, which are accessed by three landscaped hiking trails.

At the beginning, I navigated to a small road. It was a place where locals went to the hot springs for free. The scenic spot was divided into three routes, and the fountain was not seen due to time. The farthest 1.5 can be walked in an hour, and the landscape is quite shocking. The geothermal landscape of Rotorua can be seen everywhere. Tickets are not cheap.

The park is quite large and its landform is very novel to me. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from the city and the park provides parking. After the front desk says the verification code, it will be stamped on the hand, and the print on the hand will be checked before entering the park, which is very convenient.
