Arrived at the hotel to a lovely welcome from receptionist Noemi, and the troubles at the hotel went downhill. Was given a room at the back of the hotel, that seems ok, but on closer examination, this room shouldn’t be allowed out to the public. The toilet wasn’t cleaned, and the grouting around the bath was very unhygienic. Had dinner onsite and although some of it was good, other elements weren’t. The next morning at breakfast was a disaster, the server couldn’t get anything correct. The only best part of the hotel was the staff Noemi and Jenny, I reported an incident to Brendan and he appeared very stand-offish and couldn’t care less, not a good look when working in the hospitality sector.

Very nice hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Staff is excellent. Location is great- you can walk to the train/ bus station, shopping and local points of interest. Food- especially the breakfast ( which is included) is very good.
Ferrycarrig Hotel

We are3 friends who have been returning to the Ferrycarrig Hotel for years for our annual holiday. The Hotel is fabulous - first class location and facilities. All the staff are just fantastic, so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them. It’s like coming home each year. The breakfasts and evening meals are amazing. I have to adhere to a gluten free food regime but thats never a problem here. It’s the only hotel I have no worries about this and am facilitated in a no hassle manner. We cannot compliment the staff enough from Jean on reservations to Lucy, Supervisor, Ellen and Kim on front desk, to Derek the perfect charming gentleman/host manager at breakfast and Eoin and Alvina and the wonderful chefs in Reids restaurant. Thank you all. Highly recommended. A+++++
Newtown Park Hotel

Check-in was very efficient and the room was lovely and spacious and had been recently recarpeted. It was spotless, too marks for the cleaners. The bar and restaurant was a bit of a let down, however. One of the staff in particular, Ali, should understand that you actually need to check and keep an eye on your tables - you can’t do that if you are hiding at the far end of the bar stuck on your phone. She is not paid to do that. There were only 11 people there and the delays in taking orders, getting the food and any subsequent service from Ali were unacceptable. She needs supervision from an appropriate adult, preferably one with grey hair, and she also needs some formal training. Using bad language (expletives beginning with f*^#) in front of hotel guests is incredibly rude, we’re not deaf and do expect the staff to behave professionally. The lack of any proper supervision in the bar and restaurant is a major issue here. Lastly, the receptionist in the Leisure Center should not be sitting with his feet up on the desk - again, very unprofessional.
Talbot Hotel Wexford

Rooms are dull painted dark green and very basic no mod cons. Bed is hard and the pillows have a plastic cover making it a noisy night sleep. Food in restaurants was basic nothing to rave about. The bar is very nice and had a girl singing who was excellent however the staff are not trained and when ordering more than 2 drinks they had to write it down. I paid €220 for a single room and was every disappointed as expected more for the price, there wasn’t even a walk in shower. Other family members rooms were very noisy with a motor running all night at least my room was quiet. Other than great location not worth the high price.
