The positives are that it is in a central location. Staff are lovely and helpful, responsive and warm; nothing was too much of an ask. The pool is a good size, clean and private.Beds are comfortable and the hotel is secluded from the street noise. Daily room service was excellent and breakfast was included. The negatives: the villas are a little tired and need some updating and minor repairs. Overall, good value for money and though it is not a five star hotel, it served our needs very well.

My Villa and Resort Canggu

We didn't get the room which we booked. They said our villa was overbooked, which is weird since we made the reservation in September. They forced us to stay in 2 studio rooms for the first night. In first instance they wanted us to pay the same price as the villa we booked but eventually, after arguing, they gave a small discount. The next day we moved to the villa, this also happened an hour and a half later than which they promised us. They gave us a different villa as we booked, it was a UNFINISHED villa. the water was not running properly. It took us 6 instances of complaining at the front office until they finally agreed to check the water pressure (which was not in good order). We had a stain on our blanket, we found a cigarette in our shower and some in front of the room. This was also weird, since they mentioned we were the first who stayed in this villa. That the villa was unfinished became more clear since during the first day, without notice or permission, some people entered our villa to measure the walls, windows etc. The kitchen was not in use, the stove was still covered in plastic for example. Also, it didn't have any kitchen equipment. Although the pool was big and nice, it came with two dead crabs inside. When we moved to the villa from the studio room, we accidentally left a branded cap in our room. We realized it just a couple hours after we move to the villa, but the staff did not inform us, or come to the villa to give back the cap until we asked if they have it, sketchy huh. The last day, the villa next to us got new guests who thought it was a good idea to celebrate new years on the 4th of January. They kept up partying and igniting firework until 4 am. It would have been nice for the hotel to remind the neighbours they have people surrounding them. All with all, not worth the money and better look for another place to stay.

The staff and Location make this joint. The rooms are very good, large and well maintained, The Pool Villas are private and whilst at the moment they have some construction going on, you honestly would not know. The staff will run you into Lovina beach proper every day, and quite a few venues will come and pick you up and drop you back. The only downside to this place is the food. They need to get back to basic and serve the wonderful dishes that people travel to Bali for, forget the westernized menus of Burgers and Ribs etc. Serve a more traditional menu, Breakfast was pretty good. But the restaurant was the only reason this place did not get 5 stars. The staff are the best asset this place has.. a very relaxing time in Lovina, fix the Restaurant and you have a 5 star property in every way. Lovina is very laid back, no yells of ”transport” or ”taxi” no hassling from eager vendors, some polite questions as you walk past an outlet, nothing more.. A great spot for a chill out.

We have just returned from a family holiday at Desamuda, staying 2 adults and 2 children (9 and 12) in a 2 bed villa with pool. We were quite worried after reading some of the reviews on here, but really we need not have been. Is the decor and furniture tired? Yes it is, however the whole site and the rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds are comfortable. Location Just off a busy street in seminyak, close to lots of lovely eateries and about a 30 minute walk to the beach. Our biggest challenge was being based in seminyak for our entire trip, as the traffic can be awful and can take 2 hours to get out. Food We ate breakfast every day and found in perfectly satisfactory - cereal, pastries, toast, fruit as well as a selection of hot food and omelettes, fried rice and noodles cooked to order. We ordered room service a couple of times, which was ok, but not particularly fantastic. We mainly used when we were too tired to walk out to find something locally. Room Comfortable beds, very clean, good working fridge that we filled with drinks we bought in local supermarkets and a water filter with plenty of water in it. Cleaned daily by a full team of people that came in and made up beds - towels provided for both pool and bathroom and changed on request. We had 2 bathrooms - one inside in the bottom bedroom and one external in the bedroom upstairs… we mainly used the outdoor one as the shower was better and it was nice to be outdoors. Pools We used the large pool a few times, very rarely anyone else in it, which our kids loved, but it was also great having the pool in the room and we used this one all the time. Atmosphere If you are looking for a hotel that is jumping with atmosphere, this is not the place for you, it is very quiet all day and all evening. Service Impeccable. Better service that we have received in some 5* hotels. The staff are incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and if you have booked this hotel - please do not worry.

I can’t speak more highly of this excellent resort. Yes, it is away from the now very busy Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, etc and thats great. Less traffic and less noise! Just get a driver/taxi to visit other areas, they are still very reasonably priced (by Aussie standards). The gardens are beautifully maintained, the pools sparkling and our villa very comfortable and private, also it’s own plunge pool…..very refreshing in a hot climate. We ate very well from the extensive buffet breakfast (included in our package), the a la carte lunch menu (small meal for us after a hearty breakfast) and the dinners when we ate in. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and very well presented. I would like to give my greatest praise, and thanks, to the staff. I think we pretty much met them all as it’s not a huge resort. Without exception they were friendly, smiling, helpful, unobtrusive and a delight to spend time with. This was not our first trip to Bali, but probably the most memorable for all the right reasons. One aspect that should be addressed though is the lack of a full length mirror in the villa. A negative for my wife and adult daughters. Also I think 2 sets of keys should be provided in a 2 bedroom villa when 4 adults are staying. This would make the daily comings and goings easier

Lumbini Villas & Spa was a single suite in true Balinese style with full swimming pool and very accessible to the Airport with shuttles to Lippo Mall and Discovery Mall shopping centres. Breakfast was included which was more than adequate every morning and delicious. A complimentary Balinese Massage was included in our package and was well received and liked very much. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed our meal and drinks. Staff were very obliging and helpful is all aspects of the resorts services from Reception, Housekeeping, Spa and restaurant and breakfast services which catered to our needs. The landscaping, public pools, gymnasium and bicycles were all well kept and this resort is one to return to and enjoy all aspects of Bali from this delightful location in Jimbaran on Uluwatu Street

It's a good choice if you plan to drive to tour around the area. There is a well equipped kitchen. The view of Mt. Fuji from the roof top is fantastic. Breakfast from a choice menu is delivered to our room.

We stayed as a family of 3 for 2 nights. The room was clean and neat. Check in was fast and hassle free. The staff were helpful and friendly. Location of the villa is good, walking distance to nearby seafood restaurant. Distance to shopping malls is not too far too as you can easily get a Gojek there. It is around 6km to BCS mall and A2 food court. One down side I feel was the lack of variety for the breakfast, it would be good if there is buffet spread. The music from the neighbouring cafe/pub was pretty loud till which could disturb guests who may be there to chill n relax. It didn't bother me very much probably I was tired out so slept pretty well. Overall a pleasant experience staying in this resort. Highly recommended for couples who wish to have a romantic getaway.

This little hotel is within walking distance from Largo do Senado and other historical sites; bus 101x from the bridge port stops a few blocks away; a night market is just around the corner, and there's a 24-hour supermarket a block away. The facilities were clean and the room looked just like new. The bed was clean and comfy, toiletries were provided, and the room had a TV and a kettle. Even though I booked a shared bathroom, it was very clean and shared with only another room. The staff was super nice, and both the check-in and check-out processes were fast and easy. Overall, I enjoyed my 2 nights in Pensão Carmen and I would book it again.

Best experience with our private pool room suite Room is so spacious and with your own infinity pool overlooking the ocean it is just magical and mystical Th staff are absolutely welcoming and go over and beyond to help you have the best stay Although communication isn’t the best they try to understand and accommodate your personal preferences Cannot name all the staff there but all of them from the main boss down to security guard just will do everything to make you happy A mention to Mr Joe, he always was there to help us enjoy our stay and even gave us a personal tour to our wonderful buffet seafood dinner, thanks Joe Also San and Joe for our special anniversary dinner which you designed so we could have it on the beach which almost didn’t happen because of the weather The girls in restaurant and the top chef making our meals All the staff went above and beyond to make our stay most memorable Thank you all for your welcoming arms We wish you all good health hope to see you all again Angela and Bill Mihalakis room 108

Nuestras primeras noches en Filipinas fueron en este pequeño y tranquilo hotel. Situado a pocos minutos de la bulliciosa zona de Alona Beach, concentra todo aquello que buscas después de un viaje interminable hasta tu destino. Entrada bonita, recibidos por personal muy amable y atento. Teníamos una habitación al lado de la piscina, muy sencilla pero limpia y con todo lo necesario para descansar y reponer fuerzas. El hotel no sirve directamente comidas ni cenas, pero pone a tu disposición varías opciones de restaurantes cercanos que por una comisión justa te lo traen a la Villa. Dispones eso si, de la posibilidad de pedir cervezas y refrescos bien fríos. La tranquilidad impera en este hotel, no tiene grandes pretensiones pero para nosotros resultó ser ideal durante los días que estuvimos por la zona de Panglao y Bohol.

A great place to stay for a weekend getaway. Everything was v smooth and communication was excellent. Starting from the ferry terminal, there was a pickup waiting for us to bring us to the villa. We enjoyed the private pool inside the villa and the place was overall at an acceptable level of cleanliness, although there were ants and other insects from time to time at the open area. It was easy to order room service, massage and transport to other parts of the island. Everything was done via WhatsApp with almost instantaneous replies. On the day of checkout, they held our luggage until we were ready to depart to the ferry terminal. Overall, a pleasant and fuss-free stay.

We ordered room service a couple of times, which was ok, but not particularly fantastic. We mainly used when we were too tired to walk out to find something locally. Room Comfortable beds, very clean, good working fridge that we filled with drinks we bought in local supermarkets and a water filter with plenty of water in it. Cleaned daily by a full team of people that came in and made up beds - towels provided for both pool and bathroom and changed on request. We had 2 bathrooms - one inside in the bottom bedroom and one external in the bedroom upstairs… we mainly used the outdoor one as the shower was better and it was nice to be outdoors. Pools We used the large pool a few times, very rarely anyone else in it, which our kids loved, but it was also great having the pool in the room and we used this one all the time. Atmosphere If you are looking for a hotel that is jumping with atmosphere, this is not the place for you, it is very quiet all day and all evening. Service Impeccable. Better service that we have received in some 5* hotels. The staff are incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and if you have booked this hotel - please do not worry.

The staff and Location make this joint. The rooms are very good, large and well maintained, The Pool Villas are private and whilst at the moment they have some construction going on, you honestly would not know. The staff will run you into Lovina beach proper every day, and quite a few venues will come and pick you up and drop you back. The only downside to this place is the food. They need to get back to basic and serve the wonderful dishes that people travel to Bali for, forget the westernized menus of Burgers and Ribs etc. Serve a more traditional menu, Breakfast was pretty good. But the restaurant was the only reason this place did not get 5 stars. The staff are the best asset this place has.. a very relaxing time in Lovina, fix the Restaurant and you have a 5 star property in every way. Lovina is very laid back, no yells of ”transport” or ”taxi” no hassling from eager vendors, some polite questions as you walk past an outlet, nothing more.. A great spot for a chill out.

I can’t speak more highly of this excellent resort. Yes, it is away from the now very busy Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, etc and thats great. Less traffic and less noise! Just get a driver/taxi to visit other areas, they are still very reasonably priced (by Aussie standards). The gardens are beautifully maintained, the pools sparkling and our villa very comfortable and private, also it’s own plunge pool…..very refreshing in a hot climate. We ate very well from the extensive buffet breakfast (included in our package), the a la carte lunch menu (small meal for us after a hearty breakfast) and the dinners when we ate in. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and very well presented. I would like to give my greatest praise, and thanks, to the staff. I think we pretty much met them all as it’s not a huge resort. Without exception they were friendly, smiling, helpful, unobtrusive and a delight to spend time with. This was not our first trip to Bali, but probably the most memorable for all the right reasons. One aspect that should be addressed though is the lack of a full length mirror in the villa. A negative for my wife and adult daughters. Also I think 2 sets of keys should be provided in a 2 bedroom villa when 4 adults are staying. This would make the daily comings and goings easier

My stay was enriched by the presence of monkeys on the premises, and I wholeheartedly look forward to returning. Lumbini Villas & Spa was a single suite in true Balinese style with full swimming pool and very accessible to the Airport with shuttles to Lippo Mall and Discovery Mall shopping centres. Breakfast was included which was more than adequate every morning and delicious. A complimentary Balinese Massage was included in our package and was well received and liked very much. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed our meal and drinks. Staff were very obliging and helpful is all aspects of the resorts services from Reception, Housekeeping, Spa and restaurant and breakfast services which catered to our needs. The landscaping, public pools, gymnasium and bicycles were all well kept and this resort is one to return to and enjoy all aspects of Bali from this delightful location in Jimbaran on Uluwatu Street
